Morning...just a quick check before I start work. That tail has been nagging me...is it Czech by any chance?

Noyade
17th Aug 2011, 06:47
Morning Ken.

That tail has been nagging me...The whole plane has been nagging me mate!

I looked at Italian, no luck. Polish, no luck. Some Romanians, no luck. Russia, no luck. Of course it could be one of these countries, I just didn't find it.

Ridge Runner
17th Aug 2011, 06:54
Not czech.

Are you. Going for any of those countries, Graeme?

Noyade
17th Aug 2011, 06:57
Yes mate, the country it came from. :}

OK...is it Italian Martin? I initially thought Piaggio, but no luck...

skytrain10
17th Aug 2011, 07:11
Not czech. Ok...it reminded me of a radial version of the Aero A42. Work calls so its up to you Graeme to solve it :). You can do it mate :ok:

Hi guys. One question, although I am afraid of the answer: Biplane? Like Jona 36.

Noyade
17th Aug 2011, 07:22
Hi Reg.

Biplane? I did think of that mate at an early stage but high-wing monoplane I hope, otherwise I've wasted a lot of time.

Ridge Runner
17th Aug 2011, 07:27
Not a biplane

RegDep
17th Aug 2011, 07:30
otherwise I've wasted a lot of time

..more to come…. :ooh:

Is Italy now confirmed?

skytrain10
17th Aug 2011, 07:31
but high-wing monoplane I hopeLike Graeme I had though high wing, but had also considered mid-wing?

Is it just me or has the silhouette disappeared....?

RegDep
17th Aug 2011, 07:33
but had also considered mid-wing

…was also suspecting that there was a cockpit behind the wing silhouette….

Could you please confirm the high wing, too, RR?

Noyade
17th Aug 2011, 07:41
but had also considered mid-wing?I did find a spatted Breda 64, but if mid-low wing wouldn't we see a bit of the cockpit?

Is it just me or has the silhouette disappeared....?

Just you mate? Silhouette is still there Ken.

Dammit!

Nice work Ken.....:ok:

RegDep
17th Aug 2011, 07:47
Whoaaa! And I was wondering if the spats were badly silhouetted, going too low in the back. My apologies RR!

The cockpit doesn't show in the silhouette though http://images.ibsrv.net/ibsrv/res/src:www.pprune.org/get/images/smilies/cwm13.gif

Hello again!

Been driving to work!

Yes, the Breda 75!!!!

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/8/86/Breda_Ba.75_side_view.jpg (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/8/86/Breda_Ba.75_side_view.jpg)

The aircraft was begun in 1937 after the Ba. 65 failed in its commitment in the Spanish Civil War as a reconnaissance. The new base, reconnaissance aircraft was taken just type Ba.65 . Designers edited by G. Panzeri wing, tail and all-metal body and everything about one-fifth increased. The low-wing, however, become high-wing and landing gear remained solid. The bottom of the hull was richly glazed, to have the best view of the observer. At the same time there was space for the installation of a mobile machine gun. Similarly, the modified cockpit, to which end it was possible to install a second mobile machine gun. Only Built protoyp, powered by licensed motor Isotta-Fraschini K.14, but suffer, and the couple were armed only with machine guns in the wings.
The prototype first flew in the summer of 1939 and the tests went well. But airplanes Ba.65 with which they operate jointly Ba.75, outdated, and started to be downloaded from the front line and the type letecvo lost interest. Development was thus halted early in 1940, built an airplane fate is unknown.

Only because the Falcon has dihedral on the tailplane.

skytrain10

Mmm, Aerospatiale....do you mean the Corvette? If so that has wing tanks.

Going to have to sign off. Engines don't look right for the Falcon 10 either, but in case I am correct it will have to be OH. Cheers.

Here at Hurn though, FRA operates Falcon 20s.

Breguet-Michelin BM-5. A bomber. Michelin in Clermont-Ferrand made about 1000 bombers in WW1.

SincoTC
17th Aug 2011, 20:30
Home now and going to prepare something to eat.

That's near enough for me Reg; although, I have it down as a Breguet-Michelin BM.IV as do nearly all the photo captions I've seen on the Web of the subject replica posed outside an Hotel.

These, and only photos of the "real" type IV I've found, all show the twin nose undercarriage arrangement, whereas the type 5 all appear to have a single nosewheel, the main thing is that it was a bomber and not just a Breguet!!

RegDep has control :ok:

RegDep
17th Aug 2011, 20:48
Funny: AQ calls it Bleriot 5 (with the twin nose wheel), and pictures a statue of it in Clermont-Ferrend airport.

My notes say that I had submitted BM-IV, and it was accepted (but I looked at AQ to respond to you) :uhoh:.

And you picture is of the same replica/statue.

Here's my next, although will go to bed soonish…..

RegDep
18th Aug 2011, 13:00
The three-view is from a French publication (general science, not aviation). Posted the three-view first and only then looked at other pictures. Thought: WTH, I can give the rest of the story in clues. The difference, as I can see, is only in the nacelles.

The three.view is probably something for the future "standard model", not meant for records.

A South African is enjoying a hearty breakfast -
coffee, croissants, toast, butter & jam, etc. when
an American, chewing gum, sits next to him and
starts an unwanted conversation:

American: "You South Africans eat the whole bread?"
South African:

"Of course."

American (blowing bubble with his gum): "We don't. In
the States, we only eat what's inside. The crusts we
collect in a container, recycle, rebake them into
croissants and sell them to South Africa."

American: "D'ya eat jam with the bread?"

South African: "Of course."

American (chuckling and crackling his gum between his
teeth): "We don't. In the States we eat fresh fruit
for breakfast, put all the peels, seeds and left overs
into containers, recycle them into jam and sell it to
South Africa."

South African: "Do you have sex in America?"

American: "Of course we do."

South African: "And what do you do with the condoms?"

American: "Throw them away of course."

South African: "We don't. We put them in a
container, recycle them, melt them down into chewing
gum and sell it to America."

but I don't think it's a Lev this one.

Use 155 mph Merc or fly and hire a kleine auto?

RegDep

I would hire one locally. Not that expensive and at least they have steering on the correct side.

By the way, berlin has the best public transport in the whole world. Didn't have an auto for some years in the beginning, and don't have one now. You get everywhere quicker and smoother in Underground (U-bahn), buses, trams or light railroad (S-bahn).
