the ACCA???? Advanced Composite Cargo Aircraft (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Advanced_Composite_Cargo_Aircraft) - a Dornier 328J with its mid/aft fuselage and empennage (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Empennage) replaced with advanced composite materials. The ACCA is a Lockheed Martin (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lockheed_Martin) demonstrator to advance composite usage on next-generation tactical air mobility transports for the US Air Force (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/US_Air_Force) Research Laboratory.

Graeme, my view is that its down to the individual. Traditional 3-views from Observers' books etc show all the features you mention, but arguably these are not true silhouette's, which technically should only show the outline, not the the detail.

Noyade

Interesting looking project Bri, I'm sorry that there's not many players about this weekend, my online time is strictly limited too at the moment and I'll be out most of today.

I might as well kick the ball off with a couple of questions.

Can't see any wing fillets, so is it a mid-wing or shoulder-wing type?

It has quite a long nose; is the rise in profile of the top edge the start of a streamlined canopy and if so, is it a relatively modern racer??

Good afternoon Gentlemen,

So back from my hols now

Welcome back Ken, I hope that you had a good break :ok:

I don't think that it's really a lack of interest in the thread, but rather the unfortunate coincidence of several of the usual players being on holiday at the same time and others under time constraints due to pressure of work!

For my part, I'm now about halfway through a month long period of dog/house-sitting that is seriously hampering my efforts to compete; my early mornings and evenings as well as traditional coffee breaks are occupied by looking after the mutt, "walkies" and two houses to maintain, unfortunately, the internet connection at the other house in the evening is also down at the moment :ugh:

I hope that some of the others will be back soon so we can get things humming again :)

Yes, its a somewhat modified DHC-3 Otter, and as Graeme's picture shows, it went on to be fitted with 2 engines!

Can you handle the pressure of another silhouette mate? I can take it, however I am now economising in my effort to bring the countries debt down....hence a 3-view; quicker than a silhouette, thereby saving my valuable time to find more potential challenges :)

PS..what is this "time stamp" problem all about? Why is it happening? Appears to be a problem with the pprune clock which for unknown reasons has been "jumping" around.
