Man ! Don't get so stressed !!!!

You will receive all the details about the process by email. You don't have only a company to set up but a lot of other things (licence transfer, reference checking, etc...). You will receive ALL these information from Storm in due time. Your IR/ME has to be valid by the first day of your TR, that's all.

Hi guys I am gonna talk to you about my assesment feedback

It was hangar2 in Dublin
The simulator is Awesome, it is just a copy of a 737, a full copy I would say, the feedback from the control column is very good so dont worry about that
The SID was WAL2N of EMA, after departure the assesor gave us vectors and lead us to the Loc, at anytime he freezed the sim, and ask me where I was using the NDB and the ILS DME( I was PF first), the We did the ILS to RWY27 and finished, the as PM We had a fire in the toilet, so We discuss about it and We decided to turn around to EMA, We did the aproach and landing.
Dont worry ! The assesor was really helpful all the time, he help us with the thrust levers, gave us advaces etc... They are looking for someone trainable not for a top Gun Maverick.
Technical part was
V2, screen height, questions about seneca in my case, and B737 too.
Just keep calm, be yourself, and try to be relaxed, remeber that the only wanna see if you are gonna be able to pass a hard type rating. At anytime time They Will try to push you, the assesors were very kind and friendly people, They want that all of us pass the assesment.

Today I received possitive call, starting TR ok EMA on 18th april ( that what I asked for)

I wish you the best of the luck guys
Kind regards

Hi, I did not get any more info other than the text I copy-pasted here. My Training-request number is just above 3400 and I applied on December 2nd. 226 hrs, 27 years, valid ME/IR with MCC. Integrated course. I think it's totally random how the selection is done, as mentioned earlier in this thread. I guess we'll have to wait out and see. Good luck!

Hey guys, I was attending an assesment in DUB hangar2 last week, here is my experience:

First, you get temporary ID, go through security to hangar and wait for one of the assesors in some kind of briefing room. Since he came, he perfectly set up calm, friendly and relaxed atmosphere. He took us through whole briefing package, explained everything and told us almost exactly what are we going to need to do, divided us to 2member crews (each crew contains one guy with MCC on 737 and second on another - if this is possible). There were 2 assesors, one took me and my mate to sim, second one took another crew to interview.

SIM is fixed FTD but perfectly realistic, almost brand new, great feedback from column and trim. I was PM, PF got just departure along SID, but almost immediatelly got vectors, then freeze and "point on chart where are you" - first PF, PM had to confirm. After this just vectors to ILS and landing. My PF stuff was pretty same, departure (WAL2N in EMA btw), vectors, then direct to NDB EME, freezed, "point where you are", then emergency (passenger chest pain) - show the best possible CRM, consider options with PM, decide, brief cabin crew and advise ATC - as I was right above RWY27, heading 094 and vectors were U/S, I made an alternative procedure stated on chart and which took me back to ILS and landing.

HR interview - tell us about yourself, why to hire you, why you want RYR, what do you know about us, your strengths/weaknesses, why not TVS airline in PRG, why is RYR priority?

Tech interview - how did you like your FTO, what is V2, how calculated, which speeds are also calculated from stall speed, your ME aircraft, its deice system, deice on 737, cons of swept wings, how is it compensated?

Just bring your best attitude, be talkative to them, show your enthusiasm to RYR and aviation generally, be well prepared for sim flight and dont forget to take some food&drink, almost no possibility to get anything there, some of guys stayed there from 9AM to 7PM.

In case of any questions, feel free to PM me.
Yesterday I've been accepted :)

Hey guys, wanted to give you little feedback of assessment I have been on in Feb. We were in Hangar 2 in Dublin, very relaxed atmosphere, lot of jokes and so on.. then we got briefing by on of the assessors and talked everything through which we may have questions on. Then they made pairs (737s mcc guys with non 737).
Simulator - great sim, real b737. We had EMA plates for the day, WAL2N sid, some situational awareness then emergency ( they want to know how good you can cooperate and act as a team). Lasted for around 1.15h.

Technical- 737 ( mtow, ceiling, pressure,), v2, clearway, screen height, swept wings, diference between 738 and max, previous planes
HR - Tell me about yourself, why me, why ryr, what makes a good captain, what is mcc for, what is your weakness, where do you see yourself in 5years.

Be relaxed and be yourself, they know you are having the day d and they will try to relax you as much as they can and they are really cool guys.
Anyways, after 4 days positive answer, starting TR in april.

Cheers

I have no idea who to choose, I have talked and mailed with all three options, and all sounds friendly and nice, but it did not make my choice easier.

Epsus, you need to translate them in an official agency.
That's what I did in Greece. I went to the British Council in Greece and I had it translated in 7 days with the official EUs stamp.

I think that they accept ONLY official translated papers

Hey guys! I'd like to share with you my feedbacks.

I attended the assessment last week at Hangar 2 in Dublin. We were escorted to hangar 2 around 9 AM, then we had a briefing with Cpt Bob (one of the assessors), everything was relaxed, they will make you feel confortable since the beginning. The sim was pretty easy, EMA sid WAL2N, got radar vectors after 2 minutes, some handling exercises, a simulated emergency and then vectors for a straight in ILS rwy 27. Be relaxed, help your partner as much as you can, i think that the PM part is the most important one in the sim, so talk to each other and stay calm.
As for the interview, again everything was relaxed, my assessor and the HR guy were super friendly, very nice people i gotta say that. Expect standard question for the HR part, also the technical part, something unusual but nothing too difficult.

Got a positive email today, starting 30th May at Amsterdam, feel free to pm me!

Hello to all,

I am reading forum from a few days and try to find a info about current Ryanair cadet/ first officer data.

1.I am searching for information about what is current status if You join Ryanair as cadet - what is timeline from day 1 to first sallary?
2. What is current SBH for cadet, first officer and Senior FIrst officer?
3. What are requirements for SFO?
4. When you get info about base that you are going to be assigned- is it possible to know prior TR?
5. Finally is it really as bad as you can read in internet, Cadets and FO's are treat as sh**?
6. What is deducted from SBH ( sym, accoountand etc... ) per hour.

I know that there is a lot information but all of them are not current and it would be helpful for all to have a current information.

1) Mine was 5 months from day 1 to money in my account;
2) Can't disclosure those figures in a public forum as you understand;
3) Senior First Officer is a 'rank' only, three stripes
4) No, you'll know your final base AFTER line training - when I mean after, it can take 1 month, 2 months after you finish, whatever. It can take another month or two to move. You will know your line training base AFTER your TR and supernumery flights (observer seat). You can be rostered anywhere around the network however they are making a huge effort to base people close home as much as they can.
5) Whoever told you that is a hatter, a ****, or someone who probably though he/she could do anything in the company and get away, and then got sacked or the company just made them life hard. You'll find easy-going and more strict people but you'll never be treated like and idiot unless, of course, you do only silly things.
6) You'll get 4,5€ deducted per SBH for SIM training, accountant fees depends which one you pick, and then you just pay national insurance in the country you are based when you move to your base, until then you deduct national insurance in Ireland. You won't pay any tax in you salary for many months as you'll have expenses to offset. Just be careful to not deduct you expenses in the 1st year straight away, because you'll pay a lot of tax after.

Hope it helps.

Just a last note:

epp654: Please please please please, relax! You'll get all the info in due course. You HAVE TO relax and slow down if you want to get through your type rating and line training, and even your pilot career.

Good luck for everyone :ok:

I greatly appreciate Your data,

1. Is the first sallary in full or i red that first months is only small amount of money, is it truth?
2. Copy that, can You say that cadet, FO and SFO is SBH same? ( ANY CHANCES FOR PRIVATE MESSAGE?)
3. Got it i thought that they get bigger SBH and that i was interested what kind of hours they r looking for?
4. Great news.
5. Potentially.
6. Can You write little more about options of accountant and fees, bank account fees, company related fees and all this crap fees :) . Is anybody checking do you really pay insurance in your country or this is totally up to You? And finally what is that all story with taxman, do you pay taxes in your country ( i mean not You directly ) but overall shoul you or Ireland taxes are the only one? What do You suggest about tax deduction ( what is good number per year and what can you deduct? Can you buy a car or something like that?) Please write some more i think all r interested in this.

A week ago I got the positive answer that I passed the assessments and that I'm in for TR on the 6th of June in AMS.
Anybody else here that are in for that date as well? Do you guys know any good accommodation in AMS? :ok::p

I will do my intro and TR as well in EMA(June).

Any good accomodation suggested. Stayed recently in the Radisson at the airport. Are we getting good rates with RYR there?

Some other places suggested? I am non TR so will stay there for 12 weeks....

Thanks!

Same here, i'm looking for any accomodation during my type rating for me a buddy of mine...any advice?

Anyway FR 1604 starting TR on 16th May, please join here!

Hi all

My application was sent in summer 2015 and not to long after I had to send an email with my CV and answer some basic questions.

The application was succesful to proceed and my CV was sent to the airline for approval. No phone call but an email shortly after:

"Good morning,

Thank you for your recent application for a position on the Boeing 737-800 (Ryanair) type-rating program.

Your application has been reviewed, however, we regret to inform you that your application will not proceed to the next stage in the selection process.

Due to the number of applications received for this program it is not possible for the airline (or CAE) to provide additional feedback regarding your application."

I guess that you do not win the lottery if you get an email like many state here or a phone call. There is no guarantee you will be invited for assessment.

Still I'm not giving up.

I have a doubt... in the months of June, July, August Ryanair calls for interviews? I'll finish the MCC in April and I don't know if applied before on the web or wait. What is the best time to apply to Ryanair?

Thanks and good luck to everyone!!

HI,

By applying CAE online you need to tick the MCC* box YES/NO its necessary to have it done, I will wait until you have it done, that's my recommendation I did my self MCC/JOC and then I apply on.

Hi All !

First good luck to everyone here.

I have been contacted by CAE on February 23rd, I replied and sent my CV two days after. They got back to me this afternoon with this answer :

CV sent to RYR for approval_application kept on file

"Good afternoon,

Thank you for submitting your application to the Boeing 737-800 NG Type-Rating program (Ryanair), conducted by CAE.
Your application was sent to the airline for approval, and we have received feedback.

The airline advised us that at this point your application is not rejected but will be kept on file until further notice.

Due to the number of applications received for this program it is not possible for the airline (or CAE) to provide additional feedback regarding your application.

We will contact you as soon as the situation has changed."

Did someone get the same answer ?

As I read the last questions and answers of the last days on this forum, they seem kind of busy so, obviously I know I should wait longer, but I just wanted to share with others to know how much time you have waited for RYR to contact you again (if someone had the same answer).

Happy landings

Almost same answer as I got JohanP but my application is not kept on file. However I re-applied again.

I don't think we may get an answer as to why the application is not continued and we can't even get an interview. It says clearly: Due to the number of applications received for this program it is not possible for the airline (or CAE) to provide additional feedback regarding your application.

Hi Spartaguy13

Actually when I try to log in on the CAE website with last application details which didn't get considered for an interview invite I can't log in any longer. However I created a new one and after doing so in January I saw also that the application form and layout had changed. Much more simple and clean to fill in. Perhaps they just cleaned their database back then, who knows.

If I was you I would just apply again since you never got considered for an interview either and it didn't say anything of application being kept on file. I guess they can't invite everyone so they also have to say no to some of us. Unfortunately we got selected and never got an invite.

Hey Guys,
I want to apply for a job at Ryanair as F/O and I´ve read that you need a flight school report. Unfortunately I don´t exactly know what this is. Is this a kind of reference letter? Could someone help me out and explain what exactly this is?
Thank you very much:);)

TheOne83
9th Mar 2016, 14:19
Hi PiperPilot

I guess it's not a reference letter, if so they would simply ask for reference letters?

A flight school report is supposed to be a detailed report on each part of your training and performance.

Which courses you did there etc.

Finally a brief comment stating that you have completed your training at your flight school with out any problems :ok:

Thanks for that! I have applied first in March 2012, never got anything! Re-applied with the new system in August 2015, had a first email for CV request in October 2015, then another email 10 days later telling me I would get a call in the next 7 days! Never got any call! Then I had the email you're talking about ("Application is not rejected but will be kept on file until further notice") end of November 2015. Since nothing haha what a story... but I am still pretty sure they'll finally call me one day, I just don't know when!

Hi all,

Can anybody give me an indication of how long it is taking to be called from the time of submitting. ( I understand some people have been waiting for a long time but those that have been called. Roughly how long that took?

Also those that have been for the interview and been successful what is the final amount due for the TR in vat etc etc. Trying to plan finances and should I be lucky enough to get called. The website says 29.5K ex vat. I am currently ordinarily resident for tax purposes in Africa and was not sure if I would be required to pay the VAT?

Much appreciated.

I think it is mainly an english test imho. I am a DEC.

Hi P06T,
Regarding MCC where you finish is no matter at all, the piece of paper is the same for MCC is all about how much you learn.

Regarding ATPL exams many candidates are successfully without passing exams by first time .

How ever the Ryanair is the perfect further employer for stable and further career opportunity even you have to pay for self sponsored Type Rating.

I apply 14th of Feb to CAE and still waiting for screening far as know it take up to 4 months to be called, I will inform about my progress hire when something new come up.
For now I'm enjoy flying in Ireland :-) and study 737 :-)

Hi everyone, this will cover some questions already asked but I really want to try and understand the system to get in to Ryanair. I applied in March 2015 then had an e mail about re applying on the new system in July. Since then all I had was an e mail about a graduate scheme to work for them on the ground in Dublin but you needed a degree. But it did aknowledge that I had an application with them but that was all I had.
I have heard people create new accounts but when I try do this it says my name etc is already in the system so I need to go through the process with my already submitted application. Can we delete our original account? I cant find a way to do it! any help would be really appreciated

For those of you guys who asked what kind of questions they're giving you on the phone interview;

Basically its just a test to see how good your english are.
I only got questions regarding my licenses and my latest flight ( the date of my latest flight, when I did my skilltest for the IR/ME/CPL etc.), and the validity of my IR/ME. And that was it! :p

If you get the email where it says that they will call you, just sit down and wait for the call. It can take one day or it can take two weeks.

22nd Mar 2016, 11:15
Hi everybody,

I would like to share my experience with whom of you is waiting for the phone call. I think that, as Mustang888 said, they basically want to check your english. With me they started with questions about ATPL, licenses, medical, MCC and so on to check whether everything was in order. Then we kinda went through some HR questions (why you, why Ryanair,...). I think that this second part comes up depending on how good your english sounds to them in the first part of the phone call (evidently my english wasn't bad since I was invited for the assessment, but still not good enough to spare me from a deeper check :)).

I have a question for everybody already passed sim session...
Ryanair asking for flight school report... And for theory exams certificate released by caa... Do they ask also for cpl/ir exam certificate or skills ck list or is it enough the license??

epp654
28th Mar 2016, 08:35
Hello Peterfly1

They ask for flight school report. My school had a perfect and all inclusive report. The all-pass theory was issued to me when i passed all the theories (only the examiner's signature and stamp)

CPL/IR is on your license. If it is valid it is ok.

Fieldins

You need to send them ONE email with all the information they need. You do not need to send them many emails etc. People hate that.

Follow the instructions they provide on their email.

You need to send them one CV or what ever they have asked for.

Thats it.

just my two pence worth - although Ive waited for years to get asked but doubt I;ll ever be asked!

Marchisio

Fieldins,
If you ask for how much time you have there is no definite answer. It's up to CAE to decide how long they will wait for you to get back to them. I would not wait more than 1-2 weeks maximum. Then they will probably just continue with another guy in the big pile of applications. So get your flight done ASAP and send back the requested documents would be my advice. Good luck

Hey,
I applied to Ryanair about 3/4 weeks ago, and still haven't got a reply. When is the estimated time to get one? Or is it because I haven't been accepted? Wouldn't they send an email of rejection if I wasn't? Or is it just a typically long waiting time before an email comes through?

Cheers!

I went to the interview just about a week ago.. 4 of my assessment mates after few days got the positive feedback. It was June 2009 when I sent my first application to FR.
Updated the profile 3/4 times a year...never heard a word.
It was quite painful and depressing see scores of youngsters passing me by,
getting called after 2 or 3 weeks since submission of application, some of them where my students, some of them are already Cpts now

Now, 6 years and 9 month later I got the call, after updating my profile following some kind of refresh of CAE application form page...almost 7 years !
I admit I'm quite scared, I'm afraid It's a joke, a beautiful but terrible joke :uhoh:

Firstly, good luck to everyone of you who got an assessment! Good job! :D

During my assessment I didnt get that many technical questions actually, there were more personal questions than technical. Remember, they want to see what kind of person you are, and if you can fit into their team.

But some of the technical questions were: seats on the 737, how many? how many emergency exit are there? What is anti skid and how is it working? Whats the maximum ceiling on the 737?
Then I got some questions about my ME aircraft, the DA42. How many batteries are there and why? What is FADEC? Anti ice? ELT? Can you turn it on from the cockpit? Does it work in water?

The personal questions were: who are you? why do you want to join ryr? why should we hire you? Whats the most important thing about the MCC according to you? Etc... The interview lasted for about 30 min.
I found it really funny and exciting, the assessors were very friendly and helpful (But they will test you, in any other way)
3 days later I got the positive answer :)

Hi guys! As speed_alive_rotate asked me for some info I'll post my answer to him with the details of my Assessment Day.

Congratulations on your successful interview with Ryanair. I am currently studying for it myself in the hope of getting called.
I have been through the last 150 pages on the Ryanair thread and was wondering could you spare 5 mins to just simply inform me of your:
HR Questions and Tech questions at your interview.

I would be most grateful for any help or advice you can offer,
Thanks again and best of luck with your Type rating,
Safe Flying,
speed_alive_rotate (pprune)

As I told in my posts, it was quite easy, depending always on the Captain that interviews you.

The sim was simple, they just want to see your CRM and flying skills, the most complicated situation is a simple non-normal situation in the cabin that makes you to decide to return to the departure field. (passenger fainted, heart attack, galley fire..)

Then on the interview, some questions about your license, where did you studied and what do you think about you school and in my case about the company where I worked as OCC Flight Dispatcher.

After that some questions about what do you know about Ryanair, number of A/C, bases and destinations mainly.

After that the Captain started to make me questions about the A/C I knew more(DA42), and questions about the De-Ice system; the asked where do the swept wings start to stall, and what things are fitted to the wing of the 737 to retard that(Vortex Generators, Winglets and Slats), and how many time does the emergency power supply system feed the 737( I said that at least 30 min., as the ICAO regulations says that).

The sim was brand new, located at the hangar 2, like a FFS but without the pistons for movement.

They want us to pass, as they need prepared pilots; READ THE ACE: THE TECHNICAL PILOT INTERVIEW and also others, but the ACE is imperative.

Best of luck to you all !!!!

I have also just uploaded my flight school report as I completed my CPL & ME-IR over 6 years ago so finding the original forms signed by examiner is a non-starter for me.

Similarly, with the ICAO level 6 certificate, I have no 'certificate'. Instead my language 'endorsement' is stated at the back of my licence so I have attached that page of my licence.

Hi guys,

I think everyone who has a current application in with Ryanair has received this email.

I have the same problem as some of you - my school didn't retain copies of my flight test certificates, and I didn't make copies at the time :ugh:

I spoke to the CAA last week, and apparently the turnaround on getting the relevant documents returned to you is anywhere between 2-4 weeks, so I'd advise getting onto them asap (remember the words "MUST", "ALL", and "urgent" from the email) :{

The CAA says there's a backlog at the moment, and it makes me think everyone has received the Ryanair email and flown into a sudden panic, ha ha ha.

Perhaps they're changing the way they recruit the rest of their cadets for this year?

SeventhHeaven

So people got an email for this? Never got an email myself. Just saw this thread and edited my profile accordingly. Can't edit it anymore either..

Guess I'll consider myself out of the running then. Would be nice if they'd at least let me know ..

EDIT: From the CAE website after looking at other courses:

" Please note: There may be some training requests that cannot be edited due to the fact that they are already under review by our team. "

I imagine that being under review for probably over 5 months just means 'thanks but no thanks'.

A lot of panic over what was a very generic email. I've submitted all the evidence required. Whether through a CAA form or otherwise, everything they ask for, is there in some way.

Update your online profile

Due to system developments, we kindly request you to update your online profile for the Ryanair Type Rating Program.

There are two areas which require your urgent attention:
On the Training Request section of your online application/profile, you are required to answer a question relating to previous working experience with Ryanair (or associated parties).
The mandatory upload of documents, as detailed below:
CV (English version)
Copy of ATPL written exam results (original)
Copy of CPL result (1st series; partial; 2nd series; etc.)
Copy of MCC Certificate (original)
Copy of Multi-Engine Instrument Rating (ME/IR)
English Language Proficiency Certificate
License
Medical Class I
Passport
You MUST ensure that ALL documents are uploaded in order for your application to be accepted by the system, and processed.

Please ensure that all areas of your application/profile have been completed.

We advise you to complete this without delay.

Remember: Failure to update your online application accordingly will prevent your request from being processed.

This e-mail does not require a reply, and it is not necessary to inform us when you have completed this update.

Suitable applicants to the Ryanair Type Rating Program will be contacted in due course.

Kind regards,
CAE

Assessment done.:} First wanna thank all of you guys for all the great insights and suggestion you gave as a whole.
About the interview:
They asked me If I had applied for others airlines, wich one, how was the outcome,etc...
How do you deal with a problematic collegue ?
Why do you want to work for Ryanair ?
Why should Ryanair hire you ? This first part was conducted by the HR manager. No tricks.

Then the ball was passed to the technical interviewer, that is actually one of the guys in charge also for the sim screening (they alternate each other between sim and interview, a crew each).
What is V2 ? I gave him a complete answer because I spotted him was about to open his mouth asking detail, so I kept
taking..."It's a safety speed, to be reached by the end of the rwy, above the screen height that is 35 ft for jets, it guarantees control in the event of engine failure at take off..."
Where is this screen located ? "at the end of the clearway".
Did you ever experienced ice in flight? Structural ice? So what about the anti ice system of 737? " Is obtained by means of bleed air from engines".
Just those 3 questions and he seemed satisfied. No tricks. :ok:

About the simulator: They tell you, they do not whant perfect flying skills from someone who is not experienced on the type, they do not look for perfection, they look for POTENTIAL. Potential to be trained, potential to be a captain, so TALK EACH OTHER ! You'll be evaluated as a crew, so there in no point saying "I got the emergency and my buddy did'nt..", remember
that the sim part is one divided in two, you'll be evaluated as PM and as PF.

Got the WAL 2N in EMA for RWY 27, but did just the first part, airwork and vectors for approach NDB ILS DME 27, freezed to set upand brief and asked about position awareness. In the second part same story just plus the toilet fire, if you are busy doing something do not let the events put you into a rush, pass control and communication to your partner if you need to talk
with the cabin ( PM in fact may be requested to fly the thing too, so keep awareness), then decide everyting together with your PM even if it's something obvious. Everybody must be in the loop. Call for every chklist for every phase.

10 years since my MCC and no currency on fast jet simulation made me very afraid to mess up and go overcontrolling, luckily controls forces are quite stiff and the trim is well reflected by the pitch feedback (TRIM 4 EVERY PITCH, SHORT BURSTS). The thing at a given thrust and pitch setting will fly itself. Remember it especially on final!
And If it's not right...go around! I was very lucky and happy with my buddy pilot: I was committed to land but the emotion got me in short final and I destabilized the approach, I was visual so I continued but I messed up the flare starting to float, I was in a tunnel! :uhoh:
My PM said just "I suggest a go around...", I woke up and initiated the GA as briefed. Then we were repositioned 3 NM on final and made a nice approach, almost not touching the controls at all. :D

Cannot guess what the outcome will be, I'm happy about my interview and happy about how we did as a crew in the sim.
This is my impression, still hot blooded...take it as it is and stay cool. After all think that a cold Guinnes is waiting for you at the end of the day !

Oops manland visual...you mean that maybe the guy didn't wanted to correct me ? He asked me and I answered that with a little uncertain voice like "am I right" ? He just said ok and then asked me about the ice thing. This worry me a little :-(
Thanks for your answer! I think this can be useful for everybody, we must learn from each others mistake !

By the way because I reviewed my theory on the "ACE" like many do, I saw that on page 186 the book treat TODA and in the picture the author put the screen height at the end of that, so at the end of the clearway.
Then the autor say "...screen height also marks the end of the take off distance".

JAR 25.115 Take-off flight path
[ (a) The take-off flight path shall be
considered to begin 35 ft above the take-off
surface at the end of the take-off distance

So if he considered "surface" as an horizontal reference and not the end of the runway, maybe he assumed acceptable my answer because the clearway is at the end of the TODA...maybe ?

Topper Pimpi
14th Apr 2016, 19:46
Topper Pimpi, relax! You're not going to fail because of that

Hope so ! :-)

The height of an imaginary screen placed at the end of the TODR

Take Off Distance Required...by the A/C taking of at that specific weight, configuration, environmental condition. Let's say that if you take off with a small cessna 150 from a 3 km runway, your screen may be just after 500 m.

So it's clear to me that this "screen" is an imaginary hurdle that can be between anywere from just after brake realase (if U're an heli or a JATO acft) to the end of the clearway.

The take off surface seem to be referred as the reference for the take off vertical profile, in fact for example JAR 25.1 11 Take-off path (a) The take-off path extends from a standing start to a point in the take-off at which the aeroplane is 1500 ft above the take-off surface,.

Be at 1500 ft by the end of the runway can be pretty hard to achieve !

I feel a little better now :-)

Like I mentioned a few pages back - Some applications are under review and can no longer be edited.

Draw your own conclusion as to what it means. Has it been a day? Cross your fingers. Has it been a month? Forget about it and move on.

I don't think that we have to give up and forget the application if our profile is under review or in mode "VIEW" for more than 15 days.
Just be patient.. it doesn't make sense that we are able to upload documents yet.
Fingers crossed for all of us. (I can`t edit it neither)
Stay positiveĦ

Jet01 and VOLCOM what is your age guys?? Because I assume that applications only for viewing happened to ages 35+.

Due to the recent changes in the required documents to be attached are there still positive candidate w/o first time passes? Cheers.

I'm 28 if it matters and I've been blocked from editing for months now.

Don't worry about the changes being to your detriment; They're lacking crew and are steadily working through the backlog of cadet applications. If anything they're likely to lower the requirements.

Hey guys,
what is the average time after the phone call to be invited for the sim assessment? I had a quite good phone interview but after two weeks I haven't received any mail. Should I be worried or hope to receive the invitation? Last time I had a phone interview (3 years ago), I had the reply 2 days after the phone call.
What happened to you?
