Is Ukraine about to have a war?
Does anyone know how the number of explosions compares with normal circumstances. Judging by the way the Russians drive (dash cams) they do not seem to be the most careful of people.
Western companies pulling out of Russia means there are soon going to be serious supply issues with production of all sorts of things and this is soon going to impact the economics of the RF in a major way. Yeah, Lada can make 5,000 cars a month, but in a short while the withdrawal of western business is going to have a huge impact on the Russian economy. This, of course, is what the sanctions are meant to do but I wonder if the Russians have correctly calculated what the effect will be after two or three years, not just the two weeks they anticipated invading Ukraine. I'm impressed with the unity the west has shown during this invasion and hope it continues and tightens. I wonder when the Russian civilians will notice.....

Sanctions work in a similar way to a recession, we know we are going into one on paper well before we notice locally, usually about 9 to 12 months when things break down and can't be replaced or done in a makeshift way. Just taking away access to high end processors will do it all by itself, we are totally dependent on them today, from there it falls with a domino effect. This is going to set Russia back at least 20 years and probably take that long to recover leaving it 20 years behind the rest of the world probably for all time now. China is headed for the exact same fate.

Turkey has flown out its A400 that got caught in Kyvi, at least one has spotted at its home airfeild in turkey

To be honest, I doubt that a single drone like that achieves anything other than being a minor nuisance. It seems rather futile.

Could anyone imagine Putin appearing in any part of Ukraine which he claims is now Russia?

Australia has them and plenty of it, not far from where I live actually, they are mined and processed but not in the volumes China does because those products are manufactured there. If that ends permanently then no doubt we will ramp up for the export market. An investment tip for you.

Issue is not the extraction or deposits (note US is buying up a lot of the deposits in australia) its the refining. Its a very nasty and enviormentally bad process, china can just go screw it and ignore
