The Kyiv Independent@KyivIndependent⚡️Ukrainian soldiers win back Kyiv Hydroelectric Power Plant.

According to Energy Minister Herman Halyshchenko, Ukraine regained full control over the plant after a fierce battle. The plant’s staff left shelters and returned back to work.
how can you win against people like this?

If true I would imagine Putin is getting worried at home.

The correspondent referred to what happened in Grozny and Syria. Give civilians an ultimatum to leave, anyone left being fair game.

I will end up believing that Ukrainians took Berlin in 1945 with, maybe, some help from the russian.

As we discovered after flattening Caen in 1944.

I have found that if you open the links to the Ukrainian website in GOOGLE CHROME - it will give you the option of "Translate" into English.
It is very effective. I cannot get the links to work in Safari in English.
It appears to me that the page is either in Ukrainian or Russian.

There is a beautiful video on their that shows people throwing Molotovs at AFVs (possible a BTR and an MTLB or BDRM).
The vehicles are properly immolated.
It may be a fake video and so the website must be viewed with caution of fake news - however I am sure that a video like that is excellent for moral.

Interesting that apparently the Russians are running out of Missiles, Ammunition and other weapons. Although the supply lines are long, it would appear that they also lost some sources of material for producing these items.

MP Alexei Goncharenko.

So. The information is as follows. There was a meeting at night. Putin in the Urals Businessmen are called specifically for meetings so that no one flies away in a panic. They are not released from airports on private planes. All fortifications from the Ukrainian side were found and shot in advance. There was no tactical plan. I quote: "we had everything in the course of events." We hoped to take everything in 1-4 days. Discuss financial losses. War costs $20 billion a day. Putin is mad. I was sure it would be an easy ride. Rockets are few. Enough days for 3-4 ceiling. They are protected. There are no weapons. The Tula plant and the other 2 Rotenberg plants cannot fulfill orders for weapons. Rifles and bullets. Physically. Weapons are missing. The next weapon is really available in 3-4 months. And that!!! There are no raw materials. Total possibly longer. Previously, supplies were mainly from Slovenia, Finland and Germany. They are now blocked. We discussed that if Ukraine holds out for 10 days, then we will have to sit down on the negotiating table. Because there is no money, no weapons, no resources. Sanctions
"Problems in Russia with airports. No drones. Very saddened by the loss of the column near Kharkov and 200 people died. The losses on their part are serious. Quote: "Met fierce resistance from the enemy." They're shocked. The task: to survive nine more days," the MP summed up.

Another MP, Fyodor Venislavsky, confirms Goncharenko's claims that Russia has greater problems with reserves.

and for the people who cannot see the segodnya site:

"According to our intelligence, even before the start of the war (invasion), they had a limited supply of cruise and ballistic missiles, with which they are now shelling the civilian population. Today I receive information from friends from the Russian Federation that the stock of missiles is running out. They don't even have weapons for the new factions... Another good news from the Russian Federation. According to my friends, today in the Urals, the criminal of the Russian Federation Putler gathered his richest people with threats so that they would not leave Russia and not panic," the deputy said.

All too complicated I should think. Ukraine is making good use of the weapons already supplied by the West and our efforts should concentrate on ensuring they get plenty more.
It sounds more and more as if the Russians are between a rock and a hard place. The world has turned against them and sanctions are still building. Their current tactics are not working and they are losing men and equipment. However if they resort to bombarding cities with indiscriminate air attacks and artillery it would become almost impossible for NATO to stand by and do nothing.

Not to Ukrainians. There has been a surge of speaking Ukrainian and national identity since 2014. In the East the occupied territories have been turned into a dangerous s***hole with wages half that of outside.
people in Ukraine look to Poland, where millions have worked and returned remittances and see EU membership that has multipled wages 5x while their's have stagnated.

Pretty standard Russian tactics. Pretty sure they would have murdered RAF pilots in their beds rather than fight them in the air during the cold war. And now.

A Ukrainian driver talked to the Russians whose tank got broken. Suggested whether he could bring them back to Russia, asked if they know where they are going. They said “no”.

At what point in this conflict is the defender permitted to counter attack the aggressor by deploying missiles supplied by the west to target the Russians on their own soil ?
