Is Ukraine about to have a war?
Is the Ukrainian Air Force out of the fight now with all the airfield damage or are they still putting up jets ?
Sounds like they did an amazing job with what little kit they had, and the Ghost of Kyiv in his lone MiG-29 is already a legend.
More power to them.

I don't know if its the same aircraft, but this one was shot down and crashed/landed at an airport. 10 survivors refusing to surrender

Russian logistics/supply lines getting stretched already….
As has suggested before, those resisting should ignore the armour and let it pass - then hammer the trucks and fuel bowsers in the columns behind them.

Even this way it seems they finished off already about a 20th of the Russian troops invading in just 3 days. Kudos to the Ukrainian Armed Forces! And more power to them!

It is soon 60 hours into the fight, since the attack war was started by the Russians. Based on news reports by foreign journalists on site the Ukrainian army has done much better than anticipated in terms of slowing down the attack and also forcing the aggressor to retreat in some cases. The situation in Ukraine is horrible for the civilians, but there are reports of significant civilian stand-ups against the aggressor, too.
It is already obvious that the Ukrainians have the will and heart to defend themselves as a nation. They deserve all the help the rest of the world is able to offer. If it is providing state-of-the-art anti tank missiles, so be it. If it is providing AAM's, so be it. If it is providing food, heat and shelter for the refugees, so be it. Let the ones fighting the aggressor get the equipment they need, and those vulnerable that can't participate in active resistance get the help they need.
But they need that help now, this minute, this hour, this day.
I have no sympathy for the aggressor. And my sympathy for the Ukrainians is deep. Just a short time ago Russia stated that if Ukraine joins NATO or NATO does not retreat from central european countries, it will use military technical measures. This phrase was a bit foggy, but the meaning of it became clear in the morning hours of 24th February 2022 when Russia attacked sovereign Ukraine.
Yesterday, the 25th of February Russia used the phrasing against Finland and Sweden. Two more sovereign neutral countries were threatened by Russia with military and political consequences.
We need to help Ukraine by providing a continuous flow of the best weaponry there is. As long as the Ukrainians fight, they will need to be provided the means for it.

This may be what finally spooked V. Putin, when on 21 February Zelenskyy suggested the Ukraine might actually be better off having nuclear weapons if Russia was not going to abide by the Budapest agreement.
“If this does not happen, or if there are no security guarantees for our state as a result, Ukraine will have every right to believe that the Budapest Memorandum does not work, and all package decisions of 1994 were called into question,” Zelensky said.

Sky News was excellent as always this morning. A few takeaways:
- ethnic Russians in Kharkiv and elsewhere don't appear to be rallying to Russia's cause. It appears they much prefer living in an open, democratic country with actual prospects - bit of a shocker that.
- Putin has grossly underestimated the opposition to the invasion...in Russia. Apparently all manner of high profile Russians are publicly voicing their anger at what has happened.
- So far Russia has avoided its tried and tested tactic of using its artillery to flatten any pockets of resistance. One talking head thought that Putin wouldn't hesitate to do this if the invasion gets further bogged down, esp around and in Ukraine's cities.

Just tried to replicate that on my mobile phone and take photos for you, but can't find the language option there. Must be a browser thing. Apologies! The cookies button was bottom right... let's see what else I can try!

Ukraine wants Russia to recover all dead bodies of its soldiers back to their country

Re bodies. I read just recently that the Russian forces have mobile crematoriums. Please don't ask me to go back and find that information!

I read that too. I assume they'll mail the ash back to the relatives in the fullness of time with a pre-printed note saying "Vlad thanks you for your sacrifice. It was a price I was willing to pay"...
