I have to say though, once one considers compounding (of errors), I'd rather be at the front of that queue than the back of it!

And to bring it down to the level of JetBlast ... what if that tank was on a conveyor belt?

Crab my dear person, one only wants grown-up reporting and analysis.

Such is not available on mainstream media unless it is flavour of the hour to a news editor.

Wow, that takes me back some years. Those are hard to find anymore. I had two of them but had a tough time finding more. IIRC, they (in the novels) referred to the P-47 Thunderbolt as the "Jabbo" <= Aviation Content!

Spoiler

A phone rings:
Civil Servant: Ukraine Ministry of Agriculture. Poultry and Battlefield Recovery Department. How may I help you?
Caller: Hello. I need to have a tank moved.
CS: Oh. Not chickens then? OK, err, we have a really long waiting list. There is a war on you know.
Caller: A war? First I've heard of it. Anyway, my Commander says it has to go today. He has direct orders from the President.
CS: Wow! Gosh. OK then. Where is it?
Caller: Tomsk
CS: Eh? Tomsk in Russia?
Caller: Yes.
CS: Can't do that.
Caller: Oh I get it. This is exactly the sort of prejudice against Russian-speakers I've been warned about.
CS: But we're both speaking Russian now! Language isn't the problem. The problem is that is that we only do battlefield moves and poultry. Tomsk isn't a battlefield. It's not due to be one until next wee err, we ah, we can't help. Not a battlefield. Understand?
Caller: Listen mate, it's not on a battlefield but it needs towing to the battlefield. Now. Actually they all do."
CS: They all do what?
Caller: Need towing. There's this one 'ere but thinking about it the other fifteen won't be any better. How about it? Tanks. Battlefield. Towing. That's your department isn't it?
CS: And poultry.
Caller: Sorry. And poultry. Anyway, can you do it?
CS: So, you want me to get a organise a load of farmers to drive their tractors past basically the whole Russian Army, well the bit that's still Russian anyway, across thousands of km of Russia, hitch up a load of, err, what are they exactly?
Caller: Armata MTBs. Every one of them. Leave the cardboard models though.
CS: Hitch up all 16 of your Armatas and tow them to, to, err, where exactly?
Caller: Sevastopol.
CS: That's not a battlefield either! You're a couple of days earl, err, err, never mind. Really? Sevastopol?
Caller: The Navy needs them.
CS: Navy?! But they don't even float!
Caller: Exactly. Saves a lot of time and effort all round. Genuis eh?
CS: Alright. Fair enough. Leave the keys on top of the tracks. Someone will be round this afternoon. Goodbye.
Caller. Goodbye.[/QUOTE]

Belarus moving troops to the Ukrainian border. I am surprised with the Russian military tied up, the populace hasn’t got rid of Lukashenko.

US Abrams moving to the Polish border too.

He even makes Boris look intelligent.....

You do wonder why the Belarusians haven't made a bit to oust him in the current situation, they might not get a better chance with Pootin's resources being used up in Ukraine, he's not going to be in a great position to come running to Belarus to help out his idiot cousin......given he's now already seemingly having to pull out a lot of his forces from Syria as well.

TURKISH DRONES MARKETING

Just wondering if the Turkish Air Force Citation currently landing at Northolt (11:35Z, 11/05/22) is here to flog a few Bayraktor droneas to the UK MoD. Interesting in the light of the Commons Public Accounts Committee statement earlier today.

Looks like the turret off a BTR (or similar) or possibly a Gvozdika so considerably smaller and lighter.
