cx

I heard this story regarding a supposed to be first pinoy pilot in CX that did'nt make it due to height problem?!? The story was he could'nt reach the overhead consoles when fully strapped on his sit that's why CX did'nt hire him.

Is this story true? Please confirm...thanks in advance

PAL aviation school...CEB cadet pilot program...

huh...??

Right now...PINOY PILOTOS....are already UBOS!

i just want to know if PALav accepts a 2yr..course related in aviation...???

came fr. patts college.....taking ATC(aircraft technician course) right now....and will finish my course in 2008......

and if they offer a student loan (study now, pay later)+bond with company paying your obligations....

kasi cebupacific..... offers a cadet pilot program....!
in Clark.....
50% sagot nila....50%....sagot mo!
and bond with company withn 5yrs......

require a age of 17 and above!

problema...!

assessment fee(entrance exam)

PHP10,000

if you fail....TY

if you pass.....
downpayment of 100,000

150+ per month!!!

inclusive of amneties....!

and they don't offer any other payment scheme....!
pay it within 1 yr...! during your training!

BIGAT SA BULSA.....!

help me pls...what will i do....!

thanks for the info bansai...!

cebu pacific kasi....heavy ng hinihingi...! 1.8M pay it within one yr...
walang akong budget sa ganyang kalaking pera.....
ok lang kung may loan! pwede pa! and....bata pa ako

course ko kasi...about aircraft maintenance...

either 2yr..or 4yr degree......in aircraft maintenance
pag dating sa license....

The same lang.....inside and outside the country.....

my plan kasi....is to experience in widebody aircraft within..1-2yrs...
and take the exams in ATO (A/P License) to use this to apply in PALav....
as a reference experience

if you have kasi a A/P license...you're already a rated mechanic.....

and i've read about the info required in airline companies outside the country that if you have the met the requirements (flying hours experience)....and knowledge in aircraft system.....you're in!
either degree holder or not!

so it means...that PAL is requires a DEGREE holder and not the EXPERIENCED mechanics to their academy??? so...it is useless to have a A/P license to apply in PALav

please give me some advices......on what will i do...!

lufthansa kasi.....contract ka ng 10yrs....+ departure hold ka pa!

thanks!

Hi Bansai,

I have a friend here who is 23 years old but is not a college graduate.
Will Cebu Pac accept him for this scheme? and does CP have a financing scheme for someone who would want to take out a loan ? His mother has a good income but wants to be sure he can get a job before he borrows money.

Thanks

Hi Kurinaw,

Thanks for the info.

Do they have financing, if he wants to borrow the 1.8mil pesos ?

Here's the whole story, this guy has already finished his CPL with Multi engine command instrument rating and an instructors rating.

My other question is, can he just do the type rating on the A320 on the proviso of course that he will pass the assessment as well ?

Thanks

cebu pac...av

actually...!

assessment test....is like a entrance exam in college...

when i tell clark aviation what the test will be all about....

about....english and math..
a test that how really familiar in aviation
then a interview with the personnel of the school!

you'll be taking the exam using a COMPUTER!....on their campus!

if you pass these 3phases....you will now have a 1st class medical test

then start of your training....

when comes in financing...... you will pay 1,870,000 within 1yr....
and cebu pacific not offers financial scheme!

kasi...sagot na nila yung kalahati ng 3,500,000

sakit sa bulsa!

and also.......back to ZERO when you enter this program.......
no subjects will be accredited...! (kung college level ka and wla kang experience sa flying)

the license kasi....not ATPL.....but MPL(multi pilot license)

i dont know if......they offer a A320 rating...

more info....visit this site! http://www.alphagroup.aero/clark

Kurimaw,
It certainly will be a distinct advantage to you if you complete a 4-year university degree if you intend to join PAL at a later time. Although, even QANTAS here and other European airlines don't even require that, it has always been a requirement of PAL. That's how the cookie crumble I guess.

Just a forewarning, not unless you intend to join the Air Force, flying is an expensive career. Whether you do it outside an airline training environment ( General Aviation ) or through PAL or CP, there will always be a huge cost involved in these things unfortunately so BE PREPARED for it .
Otherwise go to the PAF. Just make sure they don't stick you in an admin role afterwards otherwise the only thing you'll be flying is a desk. The thing about it is, you're not even sure what aircraft you will be flying. It could even be a UH-1H helo. Does the airforce still fly jets ?....

It's different where I am since they have F/A-18 Super Hornets and F-111s strike/bombers and other sophisticated aircrafts. So, there is more chance.

Anyway, even if you do it outside (gen av), there is always a good chance that an airline will take you in once you have the hours they need. That is the cheapest way I know although it is not a fast track to the right seat.

These avenues ( like what CIA and CP are offering) are not for everyone as they are based on affluence and certain criterias.

My advise to you is, if you can't afford it, there are always other means. AS they say "If there's a will, there's a way".

I'll leave that up to you my friend. PM me if I can be of help to you any further.

thanks D6 for the advice...

whether GenAv...PALav...or CEBUpac...

expenses is always be the same way..! EXPENSIVE!
siguro thats why many filipinos...did not dream this a lot....!
better that after i graduate in my 2yr course..

i must go experience in widebody aircraft for 1-2yrs....to get little salaries
then take the A/P license in ATO
then...proceed in studies...

to qualify in any jobs in aviation field (including PALav).....

siguro..during that time....ok pa mata ko

PAF.....set aside for that......C-130....the most hi-tech aircraft in PAF

18 turning 19---then graduate of 20+1or2yr experience + study of 3yrs...
24 siguro....ok na...?

i know that...even a mechanic can operate a 747/A340 aircraft in the ground
(taxiing going to the bay or hangar)enough experience for that...

word for the day!

"kung ayaw mo...may dahilan, kung gusto mo......may paraan"

Hi JetCruizer, there is an MPL.

Much to the dislike of senior pilots and aspiring jet jocks who went through the usual licensing progression ( PPL, CPL, ATPL) as there are issues about airmanship and etc. It is already on the pipeline and is equivalent to a "frozen"ATPL license. At 200-250 hours, they occupy the RHS of an A320.

Although, due to pressure on wages, I don't think they will exclude anyone who went through the usual licensing progression and will hire in a wide cross-section of applicants for airline jobs.

Cheers

D6,
I haven't seen or even heard that a MPL exist. All I know is that most of the Major airlines recruiting pilots require Applicants with a MULTI CREW or MULTI PILOT cockpit experience with ATPL's, and Not a Multi pilot license.
Do you use this license in that part of the world ?

Cheers,
Jc

JC, I don't think anyone has it yet in full here in Australia - I haven't heard of one, but apparently Alteon in Brisbane and our Civil Aviation Safety Authority has already started to train people to get the MPL. I suppose it's only a matter of time now.

However, I don't know which airline they would be training on.
I'm not sure if QF will allow it as they are still running their normal cadet scheme but we have LCC's like Jetstar and Virgin Blue who might as they are using A320s.
This would replace the traditional cadet pilot programmes here.

Just on a different topic, it's very common here that people pay for their own type rating ( A320, B734/8/9s ) and get a job with Richard Branson's red horses of Virgin Blue. However, they still have the normal "Frozen"ATPL or full ATPL, not MPL at this time. But who knows.....
