Of course. Meeting contractural requirements are the highest priority, because through them you thrive. Wouldn’t want anyone to think you won’t honor your promises, I mean, how uncivilized is that? Never mind the commission of wanton murder, rape and pillage, genocide, unprovoked invasion of a sovereign nation, and other forms of inhumanity. Just honor your contracts, that’s all that matters.

A slight flaw in Putins cunning plan.. oddly I did think when I watched them shelling Antonov’s factories, that was a bad idea because they use lots of them in their own airforce.

Vladimir Putin is said to be running out of missiles, tanks and aircraft, because the parts they rely on are made in Ukraine.

The engines of Russian military helicopters and key components for warships, cruise missiles and the majority of the nation’s fighter jets are all made in Ukrainian factories, the Telegraph reports.

The factories, which also produce parts for tanks and ground to air missiles, no longer supply Mr Putin’s army.

Just seen this from earlier, 2 days before the invasion, they might have thought they’re in a tank, but I think the train would win..

BRUSSELS (AP) — NATO would quickly welcome Finland and Sweden into its ranks with open arms if they decided to apply, the military alliance’s top civilian official said Wednesday, as Russia’s war on Ukraine spurs public support in the two Nordic countries for membership.

The military organization might also be ready to provide security guarantees to the countries if any potential membership bid angers Russia, NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said.

A poll last month by Finnish broadcaster YLE showed that, for the first time, more than 50% of Finns support joining the Western military alliance. In neighboring Sweden, a similar poll showed that those in favor of NATO membership outnumber those against.

“If they decide to apply, I expect that all allies will welcome them,” Stoltenberg told reporters in Brussels, as NATO foreign ministers met to discuss the war in Ukraine. “We know that they can easily join this alliance if they decide to apply.”

Not too sure anyone wins that one - while the tank would most certainly lose, there is a high likelihood that the train would derail after colliding with a main battle tank.

Does anyone know if these are new-build Abrams? I was under the impression that production of new Abrams stopped several years ago - that the 'newer' Abrams were simply older Abrams that had been upgraded and refurbished to 'zero time'.

In other words, is the US Army reducing it's tank forces by 250?

No need for sarcasm.
I was simply pointing out that contrary to what was being claimed, the Russians were not breaking their delivery contracts. There is zero advantage to them from doing that.

They are rebuilds, so yes technically US abrams stockpiles are going down by 250, but they have so many stashed it wont be a blip. If you got good google fu, discovery did a series "megafactories" one was about abrams tanks where they showed the stripdown, rebuild/upgrade. In the background you will see tanks with a kangaroo on them. They were the tanks being rebuilt for australia

The USMC is saying it is going out of the Tank business as it transitions to a new strategy for its force structure and missions.

The Marines had three Battalions of 58 Tanks each with a Prepositioned strength of about 58 Tanks plus some used in Training units.....ball park number about 300 Tanks in total.

Factor that into the total number of Tanks held by the US Military when doing the math on force size.

I believe the Russians have had to search for alternatives to Ukraine parts since 2014, as Ukraine withdrew supply and support for the stuff it supplied to Russia back then. Russia had never developed or built any marine gas-turbines, and its frigate fleet used Ukraine GT's (made in Mikolaiv) which Ukraine stopped support and spares for in 2014, and Russian engine maker Saturn was tasked with developing its first ever marine GT to replace the Ukrainian engines in its two frigate classes.

Nutty....they forgot to list the huge loss of Face the Russians suffered at the hands of the Ukraine Defense Forces.

Now it is up to the Western Powers to ante up with Logistical Support and supply of ALL kinds of lethal and humanitarian aid possible.

There is no way to spin it.....the Russians bit off far. more than they can chew.

Unless and until the Russian Leadership accept a negotiated peace settlement....this will turn into a very costly war of attrition for both sides.....and my money says the Russians do not have the Heart or motivation to win this thing.

All these Dead Russians have families at home who certainly do not think such sacrifice is worth it.

That bodes ill for Putin et al.

Die Welt states that the german intelligence has recorded phone calls of russian military in which the russian troops talk of killing civilians in Bucha. The germans say that they have even more recordings from other regions in Ukraine which have been under Russian occupation. Terrifying. We have only seen the very tip of the iceberg.
