Reference Kherson city being a baited trap Ukrainian forces will bypass…

Actions speak louder than words. We see no signs that Russia is leaving Kherson without a fight. A part of the ru-group is preserved in the city, and additional reserves are charged to the region. 🇺🇦 is liberating territories based on intelligence data, not staged TV statements.

Ukrainian military intel estimates between 30 and 50 thousand Russian soldiers around Kherson. Moreover, Russian troops reportedly indiscriminately mined buildings and infrastructure in the region. We will definitely celebrate Ukrainian flag over Kherson 🇺🇦 …. when the time comes.

I shudder to think that Kherson may turn into a No Man's Land, what with the winter approaching.

Expect the rhetoric to shift to the real aim of military operations in Kherson to be meant to protect Crimes.

Russia is digging new trenches in... Northern Crimea…

yeah, no.

car crash to truck? car shredded... No braking witness marks? frost covering some items but not other areas? (sheets have frost on top, not underneath) tread tracks at 90 degrees to the cars location(s). No local damage. Presume the guy is toast, but it didn't happen there or as an accident. Any 6 story buildings near by?

Informative thread on how the Russians have been ferrying equipment across the Dnipro and how they may use it for their withdrawal.

That will be interesting when it cuts off the land bridge to Crimea and the Kerch gets another bad day.

The Dnipro will likely freeze over in the next few weeks. With thick enough ice you can drive a tank across praying that AUF won't break up the ice with artillery as did the Finns when Stalin sent tanks over the Gulf of Finland during the Winter War.

Tankers would do well to don drysuits and scuba equipment. Then the only problem is finding a gap in the ice overhead as long as they land right side up on the bottom.

Staged? Seems odd there is only one truck and few people on the ferry.

Close up look at the underside of the damaged Kherson bridge.

Rather be,

During WW2 the Russians used to run rail tracks over frozen rivers too.

So the three musketeers are only two for the media... and they are... Porthos and his side kick Tonto.... eloquent conversation for the fans back home. They were travelling as a 2 man band, times must be tough for their brigade. Is that an audition for the sequel?

Perhaps they're the only ones left from their Brigade?

To make a trap, you need a capability. They are reeling now. Near to 800 dead a day... and going up. They lose a BTG every day. That's very very hard to sustain... at 40 pct losses, each unit will become combat ineffective. Non-comms, etc. Their army is hollowing out.

I'm certain the Ukes are more than aware of what remains of Russia's force in Kherson, given their intelligence assets, partisans, sympathisers etc in the city and surrounding area. Also any decision to enter the city will be driven by what the Russians are doing on the other side of the Dnipro e.g. massing artillery to flatten the city once they do eventually withdraw.

I want to invite Special Kherson Cat to visit after this for some rest. [He] has been diligent in providing a status update of Russia in Kherson, and that cannot have occurred without personal risk. He along with the whole of Ukraine should be nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. (Yes, they are at war, they are fighting the war that we didn't have the liver for).

Retired Major Generals view on the retreat in Kherson, interesting that Russia is also rebuilding their original defence lines into Crimea...

From what I read, Ukraine now has :

more artillery
more accurate artillery
longer-range artillery

Would this not mean that any Russian units firing from fixed positions close to the Dnipro ( not going to be scooting when shelling a town, I think ) would simply be inviting pretty certain annihilation ? Isn't that a very poor return for just lobbing a few shells indiscriminately against civilian buildings ?

https://www.gofundme.com/f/give-our-...ff-he-deserves

As most people are aware my Dad Simon Lingard, (Grimmy) sadly lost his life in Ukraine on Monday 7th November. My Dad was an inspiration to all who knew him, a real life hero who died fighting for what he believed in. He was loved and adored by so many a true representation of what a soldier should be. Me and Keane are absolutely heartbroken
The Ukranian Military have offered to bring him home to England but we need help to show him the respect and adoration he deserves by giving him THE greatest well deserved send off.
Could you all please find it in your heart to donate anything no matter how small so we can honour our Dad and allow him to finally Rest in Peace.

After funeral costs the remainder of the money will go in a trust fund until me and Keane are 18...

These troops are so hilarious in so many levels that I am confident their main weapon is to kill their adversaries in laughter
Russia... all show, no go.
