Most of the problems were solved 15 years ago. Both the Poles and Czechs did modified SA-6 systems that could fire Sparrow based missiles. SA-11 and SA-6 are very closely related in basic mode of operation.

Finland isn't a NATO country yet. And on that thought some may argue that the Swedes have some as well.

"Time is not on Ukraine’s side": Condoleezza Rice & Robert Gates say the USA must provide "a dramatic increase in military supplies & capability" before "Western pressures on Ukraine to negotiate a cease-fire" mount, rewarding Putin's "patience."

Q: Two different questions. First, on the RIM-7s, what -- what platform will the Ukrainians use to launch them? Have you adapted them to dork with s3, hundreds or something like that? And, and how long did that take? Because that's not something you do overnight?

MS. COOPER: OK, so on the first one, the -- the RIM-7 will integrate with the Buk system. So, this is a Soviet type of system, but the s 300. You mentioned that's strategic range, whereas the Buk is a shorter-range system. And, you know, it is a creative solution that did require some engineering, finesse. But, but we're -- we're very pleased that it will work for the Ukrainians
and the Zuni will be fired from aircraft

The main thing is that Russian population is in decline in general. Baby boom peaked in 1994 followed by steep decline then it went up a bit till 2013 and since then there is a steady decline. Now consider not only men avoiding conscription but since the beginning of 2022 four million people left Russia. Demographics crisis will be aggravated. Even less kids will be born which means lack of workforce, tax revenues but also less soldiers in the future. Russia cannot really afford to let their men slaughtered like we see at Bachmut or other fronts. Putin is eating up the future of Russia. Fatherless households bring about criminality, alcohol abuse, mental health issues. There is surplus of women due vodka, past wars and we can assume that many husbands will not come back from this one. With inability to sell gas and crude oil and with demographics crisis the future of Russia looks really bad including capability to conduct wars.

the address is a residential building in the city center, ie someones home. The address doesn't have the apartment number so it's incomplete, but there is no relevant business registered in the advertised house/door.

The website seems to be on Yandex platform so it smells very much Russian. Neither is the website or the brand name registered for any business.
What is behind the UAE and South African addresses is unknown.

I'll bet these addresses are just decoys.

To add to the problem most of those leaving Russia because of the war are young men. Most likely they will be educated young men that have skills that will enable them to earn a living outside Russia. The effect of the loss of those people will be greater than their numbers indicate.

And they are certainly not going to want to return home unless something dramatic changes in leadership and ethos.

That page has gone, but the rest of the site still offers some very interesting tech.

Russia has reached a stationary point, it can maintain its position by throwing cannon fodder in mass, Chinese korean War tactics, and wearing out their artillery systems faster than replacement possibility.

Ukraine is steadily improving its weaponry, so long as the USA remains on side; other NATO countries can also do that but on a smaller scale. They can then choose how, when and where to change the dynamic.

All Russia (i.e. the Putin coterie) has is to gamble on is the population balance of front line fighters favouring them sufficiently to do something that forces Ukraine to the negotiating table. Bets?

Morale for each side will be a major factor. The morale of Ukraine's forces seems very high, boosted by the kit they are being given. Morale for Russian forces isn't good now and can only get worse during the hard cold of winter.

Anyone care to bet when the point will be reached where the Russian people stand up and say enough is enough to their loony leader?
