Actually, the SS was a component of the governments instruments of war, and as barbaric as they were, they were arguably a legally formed group... who behaved barbarically.

Wagner is a criminal enterprise, which is favoured by the criminal government in power in Russia, and is also barbaric. Under international law, the members of Wagner and those that effect it as a force, manage, pay for... etc meet the 7 elements of criminality required to be labeled a criminal enterprise/criminals.

SS: a group that conducted criminal acts...
Wagner: a criminal group, run by criminals, at the behest of a criminal government and who conduct criminal acts.

Sadly it will take generations and needs to start at kindergarten, they are taught to behave like that and until you eradicate the educational system that does that then you will never solve the problem.

Hence why Russia puts importance in teaching their “doctrine” under the disguise of the Russian education system in occupied schools, it’s a generational brainwashing, it might take 20 years but you will end up with good little subservient Russian clones willing to die for the “motherland”

We are all born equal and innocent, it is only education that moulds us into what we are.

Apparently the Ukrainian mobile network is no longer connected in that area but they got the message all the same.

Jesus, ballsy or what, Christmas lit HIMAR in action, it shows the total ineffectiveness of Russia in the area.

While our environment does have an affect on how we behave, it it not deterministic. We all make decisions, willful choices, strongly affected by the context of our background, but there are many many examples of men and women making good choices in spite of when and how they were raised. We are individually accountable for the choices we make.

I will give these Russians one thing, they were determined, I doubt I would stand on a burning vehicle full of explosive.

I get it, but think of all those, including Ukrainians, who grew up under Soviet communism, youth programs, propaganda, repression of religion and do so on and so on, who became the resistance in Eastern bloc and former soviet republics. It is hard no doubt, and certainly not the advantages I was blessed with, yet some made right choices.

Anyway, murder, rape and other crimes are choices and environmental background is no excuse.

I agree, but the fact the Ukrainian school system moved away from the Soviet and Russian system from 1991 onwards tends to show in their behaviour, they are fighting a”clean war” if there was ever such a thing.
Yes, you may get the odd bad apple as in any military, but they appear to have weeded them out since 2014 and the reforms brought about by their government and western training.
They moved from a corrupt inept army to the modern fighting force we see today.

Meanwhile.. I am surprised this still rolls all be it under tow.

Let them fertilise the soil of Ukraine.
While noone can deny the tragedy unfolding in the Ukraine it's worth keeping in mind that both sides are practiced and put great effort into using social media to manipulate public opinion.

Yes indeed, one side is trying to keep the worlds fickle intention while they are being shelled, starved and frozen in their beds in their own country...while the other side is making excuses whey they are shelling, starving and freezing civilians in their beds.

Well said. Evil is seen to be what it is, the broad facts on the ground are evidence enough for me.

Agreed.

Russia has a strange way of showing its love. More like stalker mentality, an obsessive desire to possess entirely. If this was two people, Russia would be under a restraining order.
