Wow, this is worth a watch. This is a brave man to actually express reality on Russian TV. Maybe it's finally starting to sink in to the Russians that they have lost, destroyed their military and reputation, and need to get rid of Putin and what they are doing to Ukrainian civilians (and military actually) is illegal, immoral, unethical, etc. Add your own adjectives as required....

Seems the fear of history's cold review exceeds the fear of Vlad and the cold of the Moscow river.

There were what, 5 different pundits disparaging the brilliant leadership of their supreme tactician. Even the youngster got in on the act, he must have taken swimming lessons. The only person trying to hold the Vladimir line, the presenter, even he made commentary that would increase his probability of becoming fish food. The epoch of Nyet Dissent seems to be disappearing at rates only the Russian navy can match.

Supposed ammo dump strike Kherson, whatever it was that’s a serious Big Bang.

Well, the barnacles of the Admiral Makarov are going to be writing letters of complaint to the former landlord for the lack of security in their dwelling. That was an impressive amount of custard from such a tiny kitten. Seems a reasonable response all in all on the soon to be sous marines that launch area bombardments at civilian populations, and attack infrastructure to inflict harm to a civil population. Would be reasonable to assume that Russia should be considered a civil nation when they behave like one, which may be a while. Galactic timelines for that epiphany to ever arise. In the meantime, Russian body bags stack up, as do crosses over the graves of the victims of Russia's aggression.

Telegram channels blocked in Russia, but seems it can be worked round. Some confusion as to whether they stopped blocking it or everyone just switched to different DNS servers.

UPDATE: In response to massive attack on RU naval assets, Putin orders Russian Telegram blocked. Last Russian Telegram channels fell silent at 1730hrs NYC time.

Google says that Russian Media Monitor is an independant set up to counter state propaganda. If so, it's not state TV

The station being broadcast is NTV (you can see its logo at bottom left). RMM have added their logo and explanatory captions over the original broadcast.

Arguably, NTV is not State TV either (it's controlled by Gazprom Media) and has in the past been critical of a certain national figure's decisions; lately, however, it has been well and truly on-message.

It is probably a case of being on message - or else. I am surprised it made it to air though. Does this mean it was a live broadcast?

The pavement below the windows was built up to the level of the 6th floor by "debris", and the Moscow river has enough additives to do the walk on water thingy .and the ammo is all needed to shoot the Russian soldiers in the front if they retreat. Generally a mess or will do until one turns up

You'd think with that naval drone they'd have built in windshield wipers or a Kent Screen. Even on the sunniest day, that glass will get spray on it and if they're using that video signal to steer the thing they'd want it to be as clear as possible

At the very least they need the footage to review it to determine combat effectiveness

I just realised it'll be a GoPro ... but still, maybe a jet of forced air would do the trick

Russian investigators believe the high-speed crash of an Su-30SM fighter jet in Irkutsk on 23 October may have been due to the aircraft's oxygen system malfunctioning, causing the two crew members to suffer a fatal case of hypoxia. Thread ⬇️

"Russian troops chaotically flee from the Kherson region, trying to evacuate wounded soldiers. They crash their BTR, presumably with many casualties."

New app being used to signal drone activity direct to miiitary

https://www.focus.de/politik/ausland...172907295.html

Ukrainian volunteers have developed an app - ePPO - which can be loaded onto normal smartphones, and with just one button-touch transmits the position of a drone to the Ukrainian military. The app uses the phone's GPS and compass to calculate the position. The first successful implementation resulted in a shoot-down on October 22.

Damn, these Ukrainians are extremely resourceful. I can imagine that with so many people keen to keep their eyes /ears peeled, that this could be a very successful programme..

Obviously it is mostly a generational thing, but for the life of me, I can't understand why any soldier would want to put this on the web. It simply makes the Russian military look ridiculous ( although I'm sure it could happen to any troops ). Perhaps if one recalls that a British soldier ( Royal Marine ? ) filmed his sergeant shooting a badly-wounded Taliban, it shows that this stupidity is hard-wired into many at a young age.

Duff Gen I am afraid, the General might still be alive and the head of RT died in an "accident" on a shooting range apparently.
