Link the confirmation I have seen no official statement one way or the other. Pretty sure Girkin said they reviewing the identity on the person in question

A "lieutenant colonel" was taken prisoner, this is Lieutenant General Andrei Sychevoi, commander of the "WEST" grouping. Like, he changed into the uniform of a lieutenant colonel and wanted to quietly leave the city. Looks like..?
Seems the orc that was shown in the video on his knees is Lieutenant General Andrei Sychevoi (Андрей Сычевой) commander of the "West" group. He changed into lieutenant uniform and attempted to escape unrecognized (that's why he looks away from the camera)
TAKEN: Yesterday, videos featured a RU officer captured on the Kharkiv front. He was assumed to be a local commander-- he was, in fact, Lieutenant General Andrei Sychevoi, General in command RU’s “West” Group. Sychevoi is the most senior Russian officer captured since WW II.

However, evidence has now emerged showing the powerful Su-27S (Notably in an older colour scheme) apparently carrying two HARM missiles; another boost to UkAF SEAD capability.
