More on Herr Flicks tank factory visit. Ironic isn't it, they can't get parts now from the west, which includes the electronics etc, so production has slowed and it is the officials fault because of sanctions imposed of the country due to the poisoned dwarfs actions..

Russia's Medvedev Threatens Defense Industry Arrests During Tank Plant Visit (msn.com)
These warnings will presumably be followed up with Stalin era 'show trials' if the production quota's are not met.

These guys really are still stuck in the 20th century.

2 NASAMS Air Defense Systems have been delivered to Ukraine

Both systems have a range of more than 30km and have at least 8 launchers each holding up to 48 AMRAAM missiles according to US and Ukrainian Officials 🇺🇸🇺🇦

A few hours old now - no idea what came from this.

"Poland’s president Duda has organized an urgent evening meeting between himself, Poland’s PM Morawiecki, Defense Minister Błaszczak, Interior Minister Kamiński and the top generals of the Polish Army. Rumors swirling in Poland say there‘s a new threat from Kaliningrad"

Surely Herr Flick and Darth Putin have a better idea of how stupid they would look in that case. Time for the IAEA to step in and do an audit of materials that exist in Ukraine, and the USSR Russia.

Even if Russia has destroyed the reference data for ZNPP, all other Ukrainian NPPs will have reference evidence for the world to use to show the fraud that Russia is setting up. Now, Chernobyl would be interesting, as the Russians made a mess there, time for independent reviews.

As an example... particulate sampling from Fukushima... These are traceable back to the fuel rods involved by decay ratios as they are multiple isotopes decaying at different rates, a darn fine clock system, and the trace isotopes are characteristic of the position in the pile, unless I have got my wires crossed. If they can be traced, then doing bad stuff with it is pretty dumb.

and, indeed, the analysis can show exactly where the fuel came from and when it was used... "The present study has provided better understanding the accident based on chemical information recorded in individual 2-μm radioactive Cs-bearing particles emitted from the FDNPP accident using an SR-X-ray microbeam. The SR-μ-XRF analyses directly identified U and heavy elements, that may originate from the fuel, FPs and materials used in the FDNPP, contained in the aerosol particles together with radioactive Cs, although isotope ratios should be identified to conclude their exact sources".
So, yeah, as the radioisotopes have very recognisable fingerprints, it would seem like an own goal to set up a story that was readily able to be shown to be bogus. Not that they won't do it, not much in the last 8 months has suggested logic enters the halsl of the hermit kingdom.

Figure 3. Results of SR-μ-XANES analyses. (a) Comparison of the U−L3 edge SR-μ-XANES spectra of the three radioactive particles demonstrating the presence of U in particles A and B. (b−d) Comparisons of the (b) Fe−K edge, (c) Mo−K edge, and (d) Sn−K edge SR-μ-XANES spectra of the three particles and the reference materials.

IRIS-T SL has a fragmented rod system blowing out radially... looks like a frontal aspect which should make the Germans and Ukrainians happy for a start. For IR homing, a hit on the nose is pretty impressive, LE thermal flux is higher on the wings and engine intakes than the radome. Did the driver walk out of that?

I note a Rosary hanging off of the wet compass.
The squadron safety officer might want to have a word with them about cockpit FOD on the glare shield.

As well as a contact fuse, IRIS-T has an active radar proximity fuse mounted behind the guidance section. The fuse projects a 360 conical beam forward and sideways to detonate slightly before the target passes alongside so that the warhead fragments impact the target rather than pass behind.

A necessary design to enable incoming missiles to be intercepted due to their closing speed.

Russia officially moves to a wartime economy

This means all war-related expenditures are prioritized, while everything related to development - infrastructure, education, health goes into the background.

https://euromaidanpress.com/2022/10/...ime-economy/In the eighth month since launching the full-scale invasion of Ukraine and amid open mobilization, President Putin has moved Russia into a regime of “unprecedented restrictions” with the aim of boosting Russia’s war production, Moscow Times reported.

On 25 October, Russian President Vladimir Putin held the first meeting of the Coordinating Council on the needs of the Russian Army, which included Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, six deputy prime ministers, three ministers, and the heads of all security agencies.

Addressing them by video link, Putin said that the country was facing “serious challenges” and that the economy was under “unprecedented restrictions,” all of which required a complete overhaul of how the state is run…….

Not sure about the first video with the smoking remains, but I remember seeing the second video, with aircraft falling near the checkpoint, months ago. There was no IRIS-T in Ukraine at that time. The comments on those tweets also say these are old videos.

This video is from earlier on in the conflict. I don't think this kill can be attributed to IRIS-T, given it was only deployed relatively recently. (Doh! Just read Mike's comment....)

Great stuff. Almost as noisy as when they downed that Alligator with a Stugla right back at the beginning.
