I would hope their losses were more than 1 in 10 !

The Ukrainians have taken out the Lyman-Raigorodok railway bridge across the Seversky Donets. This severs the railway connection with Lyman, which is at the centre of the fighting for Donbas.

That chip shortage is affecting other weapons systems as well . Some people are not going to get new cars or trucks this year if the chip shortage doesn’t get sorted . Re-starting a production line that has been shut for six years will present unusual issues with Covid to make new missiles might be a challenge . Toshiba has a few fully automated factories that could do the work . I wonder if they would be allowed to bid on the contracts .
they don't use commercial grade electronics you know. Mil spec is much more expensive and will get supplied.

And the Lord did grin, In Russia in Tver, 110 miles northwest of Moscow, the local administration put up "Z" propaganda stickers to support the Russian army, and they quickly faded in the sun to show the colours of Ukraine.

Pity it would take too long to deploy a Stinger with a multi coloured smoke trail. I'm just waiting for the Ukrainians to drop a Javelin onto the review dais on 9th May.

We should be giving them to Ukraine to do what the weapon was originally designed to do. Be used against massed armour in a fire and forget mode.

I doubt the “minibus full of nuns” dilemma would worry the Uranian’s much at the moment…

a shortage of conventional, grey-painted warships AKA "targets". The Ukrainians are showing creativity in solutions, so, Russian Navy should not rest easy. Remember the USS Cole?

Today's Telegraph reporting the view from Ben Wallace, UK defence secretary, that Putin will declare War on Ukraine at V day celebrations and mobilise Russia. Martial Law will allow total focus on the military effort.

The RAF Rivet Joint had been right up near Sochi and beyong the northern mid point in the Black Sea too. The same the other day.

That plan was suggested and ignored by more than one UK politician (and Nut Loose) before the invasion. A bit late now.

Actually I went further and when the Russians announced they intended to send peacekeepers into the Donbas, I suggested that NATO should do likewise and send them into Ukraine along the disputed front line.
