The bleak hills and the power lines everywhere remind me of Hassi Messaoud.
Is it DAUH?

REF 1st Feb 2008 08:09

Gosh, I've been lurking on this thread for so long and this is the first one I've got right!
They must have resurfaced the apron at Hassi Messaoud since I was last there.

I am at work and have no pictures to post, so I declare Open House.

Bring the next one on...

Nice Art Deco office space on the hangars, but somehow Germanic looking. Somewhere in "west" Germany in the 50s?

dash7fan 1st Feb 2008 10:03

Fassberg, Germany

Fishtailed 1st Feb 2008 14:35

Dash7fan, you're right.
Here's another shot of that control tower on the hangar end, from my fater-in-law's album of his time at Fassburg with 14 SQN in 1952.

Thank you Fishtailed!

Here is the next airport

Inside this terminalbuilding are:
ATC, Operations, Check-in, Customs, Restrooms and a Bar.
Outside is the "waitinghall", baggageclaim.
