If it is Heathrow, it should shirley be Heath Row back then? ;)

Well according to the 'properties' of the pic it seems to have been taken in 1944, I don't think there was a 'Heathrow' then!

It's now the USAF Museum at Dayton Ohio - Wright-Patterson.

LFT has it. It was known as Wright Field at the time.
BTW - the unusual configuration of long buildings in the NE corner may also be seen in post #1333. |
Well, in my time, Patterson Field was located to the NE of Wright Field. AFAIK, Patterson is still active while there is no flying at Wright. OK, it's WPAFB.

It's actually now called Myrtle Beach Jetport but the terminal is on the other side of the runway, the 707 is actually on the old ramp of the AFB and without going into too much detail sabredog I only post my own pics on here, if you know what I mean. :ok: Well done.

Well, in my time, Patterson Field was located to the NE of Wright Field. And Wright Field (now Area B of WPAFB) is inactive, except for September WWI fly-ins on the grass infield just N of the E-W runway. |
