cleo, you posted the wrong link to your picture, use the [IMG] link

I shrunk the image so as not to confuse the current quiz.

cleo 28th Oct 2007 12:38

ZH875 - Many thanks. I'll stick to tea making :p

seacue 28th Oct 2007 12:40

Goodyear Airship "dock" at Alron, Ohio, sadly deteriorated. The square things on the top differ from the old photos I have.

Should I win, I'll pass the torch to cleo.

Eric T Cartman 28th Oct 2007 12:46

cleo - you weren't working at EGPF 30 yrs ago , you were employed there ;)
p.s. 1} you are very good at making tea 2} I know where your piccy is, but it would be unfair to spill the beans LOL

LFT 28th Oct 2007 14:49

Seacue, nope, not Ohio,

PaperTiger 28th Oct 2007 15:35

Tillamook Oregon.

Still another challenge open isn't there ?

evansb 28th Oct 2007 15:42

LFT's challenge

Weeksville, North Carolina?

Duckbutt 28th Oct 2007 15:42

Is it Weeksville, NC?

Tiger_mate 28th Oct 2007 15:56

Cleos pick is of a BAC1-11 and almost certainly a Cambrian one at that.

oh and the hangar is the former Starways hangar.

cleo 28th Oct 2007 17:04

Correct on both counts TMate - but you have omitted the vital piece of information - Which Airfield:eek:

I know you know! Choccy biscuit will be included free of charge with your cuppa :)

Cartman - you obviously learned well at EGPF since I'm told you can still make tea.

Eric T Cartman 28th Oct 2007 18:05

Spot on Tiger Mate - it's on the disused north airfield at Livepool ; the BA 1-11 was based there for a week or so during the Manchester Airport fireman's strike in the 1980's :)
Cleo - of course I can make tea but why bark yourself when you have a dog ?
(anyway it's good for the troop's morale ) ;)

LFT 28th Oct 2007 18:07

Correct, it's Weeksville NC, well done evansb,

seacue 28th Oct 2007 18:12

Now I feel really stupid. I must have passed within sight of the Weeksville hangar on a friend's boat ... when helping him sail / motor down the Intracoastal Waterway.

evansb's challenge

Utica, Oneida County Airport, NY perhaps

seacue 28th Oct 2007 22:14

Bah, recent picture. Back in the day they would have been DC-3s with Robinson Airlines painted on the sides. Robinson changed its name to Mohawk in 1952.

evansb 28th Oct 2007 22:15

Mel is correct in one:ok: It is Utica, New York. :D You have control.
