Maintenance to be carried out by Gama Aviation who are advertising for staff for a Luton hub.
Nice shiny modern ex Monarch hangar next door. Not big enough?
One job vacancy example

Several Iberia Regional/Air Nostrum flights this week, but no mention of any slot allocation in the ACL report. Are these "executive" charters handled by one of the FBOs, or airline charters?

The Council is recommending to the Council Execute that they spend £600,000 on the Planning Inquiry to support the planning application by the airport operator whose 2 shareholders have a net worth of £1.4bn. Meanwhile the council closed two Day Centres for the elderly to save £345,000 after receiving £35m in bailout money from the government.

What did they expect, the hold was raised slightly but few actually enter the hold thus can decend within controlled airspace https://www.huntspost.co.uk/news/tra...llages-8978160

The regular route from the east goes north of Cambridge, left turn to the east of the city, then a 'dirty dive' to get under Stansted departures. Abbotsley would definitely be affected. Looks to be tactical headings and levels, not RNAV. Jet noise would be very noticeable, as little prior to implementation.
Where I live, it is affected by noise from the Farnborough airspace grab and the resultant SIDs. I was not allowed to participate in consultation, as my postcode deemed unaffected. Well when you get a high rate of climb from a NG BBJ, tail pipe on, yes I am affected. Northbounds I now get noise from the east, through south and then to the west.

Southend is not really an airport serving London as it has maybe one flight a day serving just the local population. On the other hand Luton seems to be back close to pre-pandemic levels and handles more passenger flights in a quarter of an hour at peak times than Southend handles in a week.

I thought once upon a time Cranfield was going to be used for Bizjet parking and then repositioning back to Luton. Anyway since those days Farnborough is the go to airport if Luton is a no no. Maybe Southend during the summer night time ban, which starts next week.

Signature will want corporate customers to stay in house so we see repositioning to Biggin and now Brum an option.
Harrods do the same with client dropping or collecting customer at Luton then repositioning to Stansted for parking.
Southend seems have picked up the LCFC owners again as parking customers by the client nearly always makes Luton the point of choice.
Early July will be interesting as usual with F1 & Wimbledon, thankfully Wentworth Golf is later this year. Get your slots booked now!
