Why should boeing pilots not upgrade on 330. Why compare a 6 year to a 6 month pilot on type? After all, the boeing guys are ALL more senior to be upgraded. If the acft types we reversed, I wonder if...

Over the next many months, SQ will be the sole operator and they will do a good job at marketing it. Then Qantas and EK will join in.....good bye 747!

Also if you do sell the unit before it's demolished (targeted to be around 25 years from completion date) the banks want 3% as settlement. :ugh:

but in some cases where the shuttle valve is sticky (somewhat common on the bus) it can take up to a few seconds...enough to cause a jerk as the airplanes moves under idle engine power. :eek:

Nicely said popay, some of those 'drop-outs' from dodgy companies are really scary. Should not be hired just because they can fly a raw data ILS in the sim. It's more about the attitude than anything...

Alternatively, just comply instead of lengthy radio explainations. After all dropping the gear and doing 154 or 160 for the rest of the flight only entails an additional burn of about 2 to 3 hundred....
