A330 Parking Brake

Once the parking brake is set on the A330 how long does it take to override the normal braking system.

Immediate pressure.

In case of emergency(LOSS OF BRAKING) without normal or alt brakes you can use Short and successive applications of parking brake without passing the 1000psi limit to avoid blowing the tires.
Itīs a little bit trick but it works well in a long rwy,at least in sim sessions.LOL

Cheers.

Once you stop the airplane and apply PARK BRAKE ON it immediately changes from G SYS to B SYS.

PARKING BRAKE is supplied by the accumulator which is pressurized by the B SYS.

sticky valve

but in some cases where the shuttle valve is sticky (somewhat common on the bus) it can take up to a few seconds...enough to cause a jerk as the airplanes moves under idle engine power.

I fear that A-3TWENTY is suffering a temporary bout of colour blindness.
The Alternate/Park brake is supplied by the Yellow System on the A-320 family.

True enough on the A320. Conversation is about its bigger brother.

Apologies A-3TWENTY, I was looking at your screen name, rather than the original post.
