Etihad Road Show Bahrain May 2

Apparently the Etihad Recruitment Team are heading our way tomorrow evening and settling in at the Movenpick Hotel.

Road Show to be held Wednesday May 2nd from 9am onwards but no confirmation as yet that the venue will be the Movenpick.

Best start blowing the dust off the Resumes and Logbooks. Nice to see that someone is "very" interested in us.

See you all Wednesday.

The career website for EY only shows the 3rd to be an open day for Cabin Crew. Confirm it will be for flightdeck also?

Having just got off the phone with the Etihad Head Of Flight Crew Recruitment I can confirm that they will be holding a Road Show in Bahrain on May 2nd for Gulf Flight Deck Crew from any fleet and the venue will be the Bahrain Movenpick Hotel.

Sorry Qatar but whilst AB and his regimented regime is there I'm hoping I'm heading Abu Dhabis way. Also when it comes down to living in either Doha or Abu Dhabi and the lifestyle they each offer there really is only one sensible choice having visited both and its in the UAE.

GF wake up

Seems all airlines around are seeing the benefits of talking Gf Flight Crew.
The new COO has to come out with somthing gud on the 2nd.
otherwise no plan will work without the guys in front.
Minibus leaving GF premises at 1000 Lt.will take crew around.

phoney man

Having just got off the phone with the Etihad Head Of Flight Crew Recruitment
I think you got the wrong person or an imposter. EY Head of FC Recruitment has relinquished the position. All the ass licking and bad behavior while in power got the better of him.

May 2nd

Proof that even when you don't fly you suffer from jetlag.

My apologies to my colleagues. The date should be Wednesday May 2nd Movenpick Hotel.

Hi guys, i do confirm from pilots in Etihad that in addition to the cabin crew there will be a team from the flight crew recruitment department in Bahrain and they will be holding an open day to talk to all pilots interested and all you need is to show up and enjoy the show and see this is the place to be . I have to say they are straight forward and honest. Its worth passing by and i think a lot of pilots would prefer to be in Abu Dhabi than Doha...thats why so many Qatar pilots are applying and joining Etihad and not a single one the other way. Anyway i think the gulf air pilots deserve to have a good life and stability and Etihad from my piont of view is the place to be. See you gulf pilots in Abu Dhabi soon i hope. Good luck.

Yes, I am sure the thread originator (Gulf Course) had a good reason to close it

Sounds like EY is now the GF boys favourite airline!

Quite a change from all the negativity in the past..... good luck to all those who really want to come....its a hell of a lot better than what you currently have.

Please tell all the serial whingers to stay away we are already well stocked with them!

"its a hell of a lot better than what you currently have."

Interesting comment Firbolgs....happy to know that you have found Tir Na Nog. Go n-éirí an bóthar leat!
It might come as a bit of a surprise, but some of us actually do like Gulf Air and enjoy living in Bahrain,....it all depends on your perspective I suppose. So GF 'boys' favourite airline, maybe for some and I wish them well.
One last thing though, would you kindly take some of the whingers over there for us so we can get on with it...

Slán go fóill amigo

Angel total 130 application to etihad

Today was the first day of the Etihad roadshow at Bahrain and the total attandence was around 130 and they gave similator slots to the interested ones (almost all of them june). So far they are getting only 7 DEC to boeing, a limited number of captains to the A330/340 and all available F/O`s regardless the type. Sorry but they dont plan to hire any DEC 320 Captains at the moment

Does anybody have any news from the pilot meeting, or did everybody go to the EY roadshow instead?

I think the whole of bahrain knew about the EY open day. There was even an article in the GDN about something of the sort. You not knowing about it doesn't equate to only a selected few being aware....

From what i understand, the pilot side of things by EY was a last minute reaction to the QR arrival...QR are actually conducting interviews and sim evals (in our sim) as i post....think EY got 200+ cabin crew and heard EY booked many pilot interviews in AUH, June time frame...EK on the way...I am planning to stay here at GF...wonder if the others know something I dont???

It is like a flock of vultures circling over GF HQ trying to get as much of the carcass as possible. What a great example of bad management by GF. You reap what you sow I suppose. Judging from the two e-mails today it looks like Dozy and Naff (how appropriate) got the shock of their lives yesterday. New salary package on the way before the end of this month. The phrase "too little too late" springs to mind. The month of June will be very interesting since 100+ pilots will be looking for days off to go to AUH. A lot of sickness I suspect.

Exactly Jack
Dozy and Naff, 2 of the 7 dwarfs? Hi Ho Hi Ho......hurry hurry.
I think the shock has registered and although its only been 3 weeks the sense of urgency to retain your pilot core should be a priority.
Come on, replace the batteries in your calculators gents you might be pleasantly surprised by the reception if your answer matches ours.
