something will have to be done to stem experienced guys from filtering to Jet and Kingfisher in europe, rather sooner than later!!! payrise will probably be as elusive as the overtime pay structure...just remember RH you may need us more than ever with Gulf Air guys pondering their decision to come to EY or stay with Gulf Air, just make overtime pay monthly and all will be forgiven!! if not you may find lots of fatigued guys on your hands!!! PS does anyone no a good hair salon

Jet and Kingfisher will probably take a number of pilots from the UAE, especially with the North American and European bases being offered. The package will have to be improved to retain crews. They need to rethink the two month average for overtime and make it month by month. Maybe they'll allow use of first class in ULR.
ps. Upstairs Spinneys for mens haircuts.

yeh, do they really think or expect us to lie in the dry cramped bunk for 6 hrs during a day flight to SYD and assume that is an acceptable place to rest/relax, they have even removed the option of blocking economy seats at the back, it is far easier to relax watch a movie up front than dry out below deck, maybe RH/JH would like to try staying down there 12 hrs per ULR trip and see how they feel!! Off for my 40 dirham greasy perm cut!

Not Yet!!

It's a good rumour but let's face it, this company will hand out only when the s--t hit the fan. Right now they won't even give you a fair overtime pay, etc. So don't put a downpayment on a new boat just yet.

just a rumour tool

30%?? Just a rumour and that's it. This tool was used many times sucessfully in GF in the past. Any surprises that it's being used in EY now??

Good hair salon

I think he was refering to the new memo regarding Flight crews' fashionable long hair?

30% increase....probably going to end up losing 40% after the fancy wording is written!

Did anyone go to the meeting? Any word on being locked in the bunk for six hours? Or the 30%.

Apparently EY management had to face some resignation in the last few weeks:theGF guys prefering to stay in Bahrain after the promise of the new package .... applicable in Nov.... , Anyhow with EK improving as well the conditions of their employees, Qatar still giving their pilots the best salary, it seems EY is at the queue of the list right now in terms of package....Not decent for a company whose claiming goal is to be just... the best in the world!!!
During the last meeting it was actually mentionned about a 30 % increment. Right now the picture is clear... Do EY has got the potentiel to recruit on the market without paying more their pilots and cabin crew?
I sincerely doubt it, EK offers much more right now. As I told already before, pilot race starts to be rare on the middle east market...Emirates, Etihad, Qatar have new planes coming each month....So to the challenge is on , they have to improve the pilot standard of life.

RH clearly stated at the meeting that nothing more would be coming in financial terms this year.....wishful thinking though!

The overtime scheme will remain unchanged and we were told there would be no overtime come next year!.....

EK? Yes, QR?... Lots left GF to EY, and it goes in circles... and turns. More training, more expenditure, brainless stuff.
