They’re my human shield
It was obvious that the first prototype of the 50mm Scrote Gun needed a different mounting method of the recoil counterweight.

Thanks to all the entrants for doing so well with an image I pulled rather hastily. (I originally planned to use something from the trove of WWII Red Army photos Nutloose clued us into a few months ago. But the heroic style strikes a somewhat different chord these days . . .)
Luckily, Ascend Charlie provided an antidote, taking third place with: "Come on, Igor! That nuclear reactor is ENORMOUS and you still can't hit it!"
In second is 622, with "For God's sake Hoskins ....its just a spider!." (Mine would have been along vaguely similar lines -- It was well known in the regiment: When VonHoskins was behind an MG, there was only one safe place.)
And if only by sheer weight of fire, Kiltrash was bound to win, taking the trophy with: "While everyone was engrossed in the action no one spotted Oliver moving silently through the crowd."
Congratulations, Kiltrash! I'll deliver the trophy as soon as 622 strikes off my shackles.
