Due to a design oversight this was the only way to refuel from one tank to another. ( Well the Air Force make it look simples)

The system worked well in defeating Sound Detection systems but was deficient in its Radar Cross Section....but was deemed a failure as enemy Spotters would have to be blind as bats to miss seeing the thing.

At Bovingdon tank museum the captured Wermacht Panzer is open to the public. But what's that contraption on the front? Ah that's Hitler's Strap on. ...Well Eva was a big girl
