Is it a game of charades, and they are doing a James Bond/When Harry Met Sally mash up?

Poetry may be Elizabeth Barrett's means of persuasion, but give me John Browning every time!

How do I hate thee? Let me count the rounds

So Charles said I should loose off a few rounds for practice, in case the towelheads turn up. And that's why we have two new gardeners and a footman

Now that there's no public money left for the armed forces, the family's having to take a more active role in defending the realm. Ma-in-Law has completed her qualifying night jump with that nice Mr Bond, and is replacing the Paras as our fast-reaction airborne force and Harry's been practicing his 'Carry-on-up-the-Kyber' kilt-lifting technique to terrify the taliban. I've been asked to serve with the mounted household division, so I'm just checking that their tools are up to the job
