THE RESULT!
Here is the voting from the international jury.
3rd Place: Tashengurt; "Is that aircraft essential for the photograph?"
"No, It's just a prop."
2nd Place: Bordreaux Bob; The RAF's focus upon effective Teamwork as usual...The Troops working and the Officers standing around looking somewhat bewildered by it all.
Winner: TyroPicard; This is the last time I accept an invitation to a swingers' party....
If anyone is interested, this photograph is of a DH9A of No 8 Sqn which is operating from a forward fuel dump on Perrim Island in the Red Sea. 8 Sqn was, of course, based out of Kormaksar, Aden at this time. It is from the personal albums of Sqn Ldr The Hon RA Cochrane who was OC 8 Sqn from February to November 1929. The two officers are wearing the flying kit of the day! The album is still in possession of 8 Sqn and is an interesting record of air policing in the Middle East from this period.
Thanks to all who entered - better luck next time.

Congratulations
I have an original watercolour of a pair of WW1 DH9A's climbing out over the desert, but of 55 Sqn.
