Hits on Klintsky army base in Russia and that's one mother of a crater.
Just a shame it appears to have missed the buildings etc

Hits on another Russian base in Tokarevshchina appears to have had more effect. There appears to be total apathy as to removing those vehicles in the line not on fire, we would be running around like headless chickens to break up the chances of it spreading to the other vehicles.
Russia: Video that shows at least 2 plumes of smoke rising from the military base in Tokarevshchina, south of Klintsky where the fire destroyed at least 8 vehicles, including armored vehicles, as well as a maintenance workshop and of repair.
Not sure that's low. 5 Reg AAC took me on a "sight seeing" trip down to "bandit country" years ago (South Armagh) and we were climbing to get over hedges. I swear the skids were skimming the top of the grass at times. I'm sure part of it was a bit of "lets show the crab what the army can do", but even so it was impressive.

I mentioned on another thread that the 72 Sqn challenge was to get from Bessbrook to Crossmaglen without the rad alt low light going out and with it set to 50'

Anyway, thanks to the crews of all three services, for getting us safely in and out in all weathers.

Brakes…………..OFF
Had a few bumps and grass on the wheels at 90kts. Mind you, 480kts @ 10’ a few years later was just a touche hairier!
Swing the lamp!

Night ops were even more impressive, when all you could see was a circle of static dancing across blades making its way up the side of the mountain.
BZ to helicopter crews of all uniform hues, you do some amazing things.

BREAKING: The Biden administration is finalizing plans to send the Patriot missile defense system to Ukraine, according to two US officials - CNN
Very clever to announce where the Ukrainians will be trained to use them!

Or an open invitation ' try and attack them there and see what happens next'
Of course, it could be a genuine 'Don't tell'em, Pike' situation.

Twitter preventing Ukrainians from setting up new accounts by dropping Ukraine from the allowed list of national phone codes for authentication….

🇺🇦 will exchange 50 mln outdated incandescent lamps for new LED ones. European Commission will finance about 30 mln LED lamps.
This will help save 1 GW of electricity and help consume 7-10% less electricity at the time of peak load.

So how good is the Patriot missile system? Google gives both good and bad reviews, mentioning a downgrading of interceptions in the Gulf war. Were there problems that have been fixed? The Russkie S400 seems not to work as advertised, is the Patriot in the same league?
We also have to consider that the Wests latest tech is in a 'nice' position to be tested against a foe in real life and death combat scenarios...
Of course, this has a reverse effect in that the 'foe' knows what it is up against and can adapt accordingly for any future Special Military Operations.
