Is Ukraine about to have a war?

I think the trainee is behaving more appropriately than the instructor. If you are not experienced handling a weapon and have had improper training, I think your own common sense will kick in and tell you not to fire it.
What the trainee needs is training on how to handle the weapon before actually firing it.

Upping the ante.
Not really. This is a replacement for weapons already deployed and does not - as publicised - do anything to increase explosive yield, just accuracy.

100% … dry drills until the controls and processes are 2nd nature … and only then go on a range with live rounds. Shouty instructors just shut down the recipient’s mental orocesses.

Quite. I can't help thinking the whole thing may be a spoof, with the 'trainee' deliberately acting the fool. Given the order to fire, who on earth would remove the magazine?

More on the two tug boats being attacked. There is an image circulating of what is claimed to be a tug boat on fire - I checked and this dates from 2019.

My gut reaction is that this is far more likely anti-Russian propaganda than what it purports to be. It's simply too ridiculous and clumsy. And what Russian would ever disseminate such a damning clip?

nah

Hoax.

Off topic, aviation content, but reflective of the Russian approach to weapons development. The story of the 'development' of the first Russian jet, the MIG-9, with some interesting referrals to the barriers to success and the way the Russians just sort of pushed ahead, ignoring problems and not testing. We still see the same things today in Ukraine.... Fascinating how things don't change.

Mods, If this is not appropriate please move or delete.
