Is Ukraine about to have a war?
Am reading an SU-30 was downed by a Ukrainian solider with an Igla.
I thought the missile had an IFF function - interesting to see that a Russian made missile can shoot down a Russian jet.
`Spose an infra-red seeker head just looks for something hot...

Today was a bad day for Russian aircraft and helicopters at low level so potentially something changed and it could be the introduction of the Polish missiles.
Big boy toys have their privileges.
Something puzzling me here. The Azov brigades. They seem to hate Putin but not Russia. What are they doing now, and what is their stance towards Kiev and Zelenskyy? The last paragraph does not seem to make things clear.

Quote: Not everyone in the Azov battalion thinks like Dmitry, but after speaking with dozens of its fighters and embedding on several missions during the past week in and around the strategic port city of Mariupol, the Guardian found many of them to have disturbing political views, and almost all to be intent on “bringing the fight to Kiev” when the war in the east is over.

Hopefully, but part of me suspects Vlad is getting curtly informed that any attacks on Ukrainian Jews or Synagogues will quickly result in the destruction of the Russian bases of Tartus and Latakia in Syria and any threats of "instant sunshine" will be met with the same response.

Different quote:
The article also mentions foreign (naming one Swedish) members and the likeness towards 'nordic' symbology.
The Russian word for Vikings is vajgari, who created the first powerful northern Russian dynasty, the Ruriks from Novgorod. Which superseded the Kievan Rus.
Anyone can connect those dots? It is very confusing to me, looking as if these neo-nazi insurgents VVP set out to cleanse were hardcore Aryan Russians, opposing the Kiev government.
The emperor is truly naked.
More than half of the regiment’s members speak Russian and come from eastern Ukraine, including cities of Donetsk and Luhansk.

Apparently Boris Johnson has come up with a cunning plan to defeat Putin. Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't these six actions already in use...

This possibly explains why that Rivet Joint spent so much time down near Moldova and the Black Sea coast last night.
Presumably they're picking up SIGINT that the big landing is about to commence.

Oleksiy Arestovych, Advisor to the Head of the President's Office, has said that he was checking information about the alleged resignation of Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Belarus Viktor Gulevich.
The story appearing all over the press
Thoughts are that it was a modified version of Igla (GROM-M) developed by Poland or a captured 9k333 verba also photographed on the battlefield.
