"So how was your flight with that new low cost airline, dear?"
"Well, the catering's not so good but the inflight entertainment was brilliant!"

Innovative solution to rain delay backlogs at Wimbledon:
International players can play their rounds on the way here.
Any suggestion that this will give Andy Murray a home advantage is strongly refuted.

Grovel.

THIS IS NOT A CAPTION

ShyTorque (your #29970),

Completely unintended, my dear chap ! What can I say ? My most profound apologies for this most unfortunate phonetic coincidence.

In my naivety, I had only associated "Torque" with those mysterious things which drag the C-130 round the skies, and which appear to run at a constant RPM whatever happens, but never tick-over like normal power plants, still less pop, fart and bang on the overrun as a proper aero engine should.

Danny.

Smile

Don't worry, Danny old chap. Certainly no offence was taken. I was only having a bit of fun, intended to be mainly at my own expense (seeing as my user name is a play on those words, anyway).

Time Gentlemen!

Special mention and the "I rodgered the photograph" award to Nutty.

In third place and the "In your Dreams" award....Coffman with:
I know it's not cricket ... But I think we've finally found something we can beat the Aussies at
In second place and the "I used the word Ball in my caption" award...Fox3 with:
Oddly enough, the Wimbledon Gazette Spot the Ball Competition from 13 June 1923 is still open, with the jackpot now worth £263,497, 4 shillings and threepence. Have a go!
(Entries must be within 1/16" of the correct position to win)
But this weeks winner, and the recipient of the "I'll post until I win" award...Coffman with:
Honestly Sir, when I started to taxi the two Marshallers on the pan suddenly disappeared
