The Naval Architect said he'd put a flightdeck on the new Admiral's barge. The result was not quite what 1SL expected.

When challenged to a Tug Of War by the Brits, the US Navy seem to have got the wrong end of the stick!

Whilst the air boss watched the naval fighter start its mighty engines from his much reduced vantage point, the errors in the design of his mini carrier became patently obvious.....

In a distant future far far away.....

The USS Tony Blair (known lovingly throughout the USN as "Little Tone") heads off on deployment with the shiny new JSF.

The cutbacks had gone far enough. The Royal Navy and RAF were now definately up sh!t creek without a paddle.

The long anticpated UK Future Carrier arrives in Pompey for commissioning ceremonies. It's innovative design incorporating a "side by" propulsion system is a unique feature not found on less advanced designs. Work-up training at sea did surface some minor problems in launching aircraft due to the lack of conventional catapault systems. The Admiralty has been assured by the designers that the problems could be resolved by a minor modification to the existing vessel. MOD has authorized a design study to determine the viability of adding four steam catapaults, external elevators, and approximately Nine Hundred feet of length to hull and flight deck.

In an attempt to rescue another British Company, the Goverment finally awarded the British Carrier project to Airfix. Gordon was pleased with the results, apparantly it's all to do with "scales of economy"

3rd place: "Look," said GWB, "You just don't understand, we have 100 of these instead of 5 carriers, so we can dominate world political thinking in 100 different places......." Mike Jenvey

2nd place: Female USN Pilot: " Does my bomb look big in this?" Salad Dodger

But the winner is..............

'Iran Unveils New Carrier' by flipflopman RB199.

What I would have said was "I wish we'd bought the V/STOL one now........."

Well done everyone. Over to you flipflop...........
