Tony Woodley is too busy getting a standing ovation at Brighton as he rips up a copy of The Sun.

Let's hope he's a little more constructive at BA, or else thousands of BASSA members will be getting their contracts ripped up.

I hope he puts the rubbish in the correct recycling bin!

That seems to be about the level decision making he is capable of at the moment.

Looks like managment are fed up with the Cabin Crew and Heathrow forums on the Intranet. The ability to post anything that was inflamatory has been removed.

Why do crew feel they have a right to post inflammatory statements? It's probably been pulled because it was turning into a BASSA forum clone, with anyone who dared post anything that went against the 'groupthink' set upon by the hyenas. They probably also got bored with crew repeatedly cutting and pasting posts and saying "I agree with this".

So anyone heard how the talks have gone over the last three days? We heading for imposition, strike, climb-downs, agreement?

Someone must have their ear to the ground. There are no BASSA comms as yet.

I'm hoping the silence is a good thing - It means at least some talks have taken place.

According to the Crew Forum (so take with pinch of salt) -

Amicus (CC89) left at 4pm.

BASSA and BA are still at ACAS, but BA are refusing to talk to just BASSA on their own, BA are insisting that CC89 are involved in the talks as well.

A bit more info here:

British Airways Chief Willie Walsh: Iberia Merger Will Go Through And Pay Row Must Be Resolved | Business | Sky News

"Mr Walsh also expressed hope that a deal with the company's 14,000 cabin crew over changes to their pay and conditions could be resolved by the end of the week"

The end of the week is looming!

But the talks are between Unite and BA, not individual sub groups. Steve Turner speaks for all Bassa and CC89 members.
Sounds a bit spurious to
me.
No news on the Bassa forum?

Anyone who went to the bassa branch meeting today care to update us as to the outcome of the final, final last 3 days of talks last week?

Any votes at the meeting today?

(or were the Bassa reps too busy just having a go at the Amicus reps?)

The main message from Bassa members at the meeting apart from the usual BA are arrogant etc. etc. appears to be BA are keen to impose new contracts but haven't as yet because they are scared of the strong support from CC towards Bassa.

BA are also refusing to talk to Bassa at Acas but playing lip service to the negotiations.

There also appears to be a lot of infighting between Bassa and CC89

Luanda, Rwanda, lets call the whole thing off.

LUANDA- Trip rest

The Rwandan CAA has unilaterally changed British Airways slot time for the twice weekly LAD service, as a consequence of this, to achieve the industrial minimum rest time of...
Does anyone wish to start the buy BASSA an atlas fund? It would save them looking a stupid so often. This gem is on top of the middle east back to back proposal
Any new destination within the global linear marks, known as longitude and latitude within the marks known as 40 degrees east - 20 degrees North, shall be subject to negotiation and agreement
and the proposal that MEX should be a shuttle from Antigua/Barbados during swine flu. If they cant even get simple factual info right what hope is there for the more emotive comms.

Just for info Luanda is in Angola.

The current BA management scared of CC support of BASSA? That sounds like so much BASSA propaganda, that does.

Was there any useful BASSA advice, to the members, about what to do when it all goes Pete Tong?

Or they haven't (imposed new contracts) as yet as they are making their case watertight before the axe falls?

I suspect BA/WW have been rather busy at meetings with the Spanish, launching a new niche LCY-JFK service, that kind of thing.

I think BASSA may have flattered themselves for the last time....

What! You mean look into the consequences of action before taking that action! God forbid!

No wonder Lala Lady and her cronies never saw it coming, it was veiled heavily in common sense and practicalities.

I hope something comes out of all of this for the majority of fair, hard working and sensible CC who do not believe in BASSAs rhetoric and nonsense.

Imposition on 01 Dec then?

I can just imagine BA quaking in their boots ............ not.

Another thing ............ there are a few bassa/unite members who are always quick to moan about costs/waste whenever BA posts out a letter or communication to its employees. I assume the same will be taking bassa/unite to task over the fact that even non-members, such as myself, have today recieved a letter outlining the hard-times the union is having (staff loosing jobs etc) while at the same time justifying increased subscription charges.

Some advice, Yes

Useful - I doubt it

I'm not even sure if it's correct or not?

If BA impose anything that breaches the WA agreement we have a right to say that you will not fly due to contract signed in agreement and BA are in breach of that contract!

Crewinglevel on Ww is contractual if BA impose anything that imposes breech of contrac you can refuse. So Ww csd can refuse to go If crewing level imposed.
