As Flintstone says, its not like the Nike advert, it's like the real advert......
JUST DONT DO IT.
Again the managment have done it, total disregard for the way it sould be and just do as they please. Oh the rules and due process? mmmmmmmm
Ask a netjets pilot, how is general feeling at the mo??
Oh the DFO asked people to join him for a beer recently, .......
4 turned up, 10 crews in the hotel that night, most avoided him.......
need I say any more?
shame could be such a great place to work, ....... the grass may look green, but .............. it never is...............

Could be an Eastern European airline where he receives around 1000€ per month...
Could be a low-cost operator where he has to pay if he wants to drink a coke on duty...
Could be a scheduled airline where he sees less destinations in years of flying than an average NJE pilot sees in a single tour...
Could be a cargo operator where he flies mostly at night, which prevents him from having any social life or normal sleep pattern...
Guys: there are some really dodgy operators out there, and NJE is not one of them. Lotsa employees complain, but little leave... Good luck to you Superhornet and other for your interviews, it's worth it!!!

I agree with Treetop.
I am leaving an NG operator (Big deal) to join NJE...
Reasons ?
Bored with the Low Cost rubbish, the ever so repetitive destinations, the old aircrafts (not flying just the NG), the rubbish service which comes with LCC (You know, pay peanuts etc...), the so called nights at home (when u finish at midnight??) and the thought of doing that for another 30 years which kills me.
Furthermore I really don't see the aircraft size or type for that matter, as a reason to stay anywhere. To me, job satisfaction and what I do during my days off is what matters.
So here is what I am going to get with NJE
A life in the sun (bye bye cold and rain), varied dests (like in the old days), a face to face with the customer/crew (no damn stooopid locked door), time to spend on night stops in places I don't know, new faces and no need to commute as such (by that I mean I don't have to organise my own accomodation and transport anymore).
So the comment about leaving an NG for NJE is to be measured against each individual background and aspirations. I have left a bigger aircraft for for the 73 to see what the company's future was about.
Now I know... and it will be without me.

The sim on the beech 1900 was not too bad. They said it was used to allow for the lowest common denominator probably me lol. However they do throw in an emergency of some sort mixed in with a senario, from the way you react with your PNF and the way you handle everything I guess they make their decision from that. I'm just waiting for the good or bad news.

Did the bits and bobs @ F'boro early Aug and got offered a job yesterday
Unfortunately there is a bit of a wait for courses so I'm to be a man of liesure for a few months.
One thing that struck me was the very practical and friendly approach of the assessment team. They genuinely want you to pass and keep nugatory hoop-jumping to a minimum.
Can't wait to start work!

dryyoureyes:
so, how many months they told you you have to wait to start training ?
With the current need for pilots at NetJets how far in advance you should apply for a job. E.G, I still have to go for another 2 years in my present job (military). Does it make sense to apply already today?

Sirvival,
If you take BA as an example they won't let you do the sim assessment until you're within 6 months of being able to start with them. Take your terminal leave into account etc and that means about 10-12 months before your actual exit date before you can interview (allow a month or so for them to process your application and offer you an assessment date). For me, I stop work in Oct and get paid 'til Feb which ties-in with my NJ start. More luck than judgement!
It's too early for you now as it's unlikely that they'll offer you a place and count on you joining when you could easily change your mind - or get a better offer - in the interim.
My advice would be to attend the BALPA Employment Conference (details on their website) which gives you a good idea of recruitement windows and a feel for what companies will suit you. They are all very different in what sort of lifestyle they offer and NJ appealed to me far more than up to 10+ years as a co-pilot doing short haul for a major carrier - but that's an indiviual thing.
Timing is everything and most companies recruit guys with a view to getting them started within a few months.
Hope this helps - my last 2 years have flown by no pun intended, so make sure give yourself time to have your licence, med etc all sorted and current before you start punting for a job.
Good luck

LF,
may be some truth in that. I was advised during my phone screening that it was a good job that I was interviewing soon as it was getting busy. Subsequently, the gap between the date I got my contract offer and my projected start date - 5 months - backs that up.
Not good news if you are trying to get in I'm afraid.

I had also the phone interview last week and they told me that the recruitment is complete until november...not so good
However my feelings are that NJ will have another busy year in 2007 due to the last events in London;so they will hopefully need more and more pilots

Have done the usual search, but most of it seems old and so I'm looking for the lastest update for telephone interview questions and multi chocie- Interview questions. Has anyone out there been through the process recently that can help?

All questions start with "Eees like theese....." after which you are presented with an impossible scenario the answer to which is always 'Minimum rest' or 'Go into discretion'.
Sorry Mr Mutra, couldn't resist. Hope one of the more recent sacrificial lambs comes up with the goods for you. Just one word of advice, real all the threads thrown up by your search.

Check out www.aviationinterviews.com for pretty up to date info on the process for NJA. It should be a free site. www.flightinfo.com also has a lot of info for NJA. I have no clue about NJE, NJI, or NJME. Good luck.

interview
I did the tests and interview last week in Farnborough.
First telephone from NetJets is a tech interview, basic stuff about What is V1, and What is RVR, What are your Take off minima, perform a firedrill of your current aircraft etc, nothing nasty.
Then you get the date for the rest, which are another interview, english test, another technical test and a simride.
Technical test was pretty deep, about climb gradients in different segments, Long range Machnumber versus weight etc. Review you theory before you go i would say.
Simride was on Beech 1900 nothing special, do your best, and if you screw up, CORRECT , and be extra CRM minded.
Good Luck
