Frozen ATPL

Hi S&S,
I have applied for employment i NetJets recently. Before mailing the "official" application, I talked to a Carmen Ferriera (a recruitment officer). She confirmed that I could apply eventhough I "only" have a CPL (and frozen ATPL).
Sent my application last week and waiting for the "telephone interview".
Any suggestions, help or info about the interview or NetJets in general is welcome. Wondering (if I get invited) to go to Paris or London. Any better transportation opportunities from CDG to Le Bourget?

Hi guys and girls,
i attended the NJ interview yesterday and i must say how friendly it was,
Carmen met and greeted all candidates at 1pm and settled us down in a crew lounge at Farnborough. Free coffee and sandwiches were available and we were briefed about what to expect through the afternoon.

The day is divided into 3 parts. you may do this in any order..

a test paper of 30 technical questions relating mostly to performance and basic JAR rules and so on.

an interview with 3 management pilots, it seemed a little daunting at first walking into a room to face 3 gentlemen sitting at a desk.. like "The apprentice" but this was friendly and ofcourse your chance to tell them who you are and why you are suited to NJ. yes, a few tech questions were asked and a scenario was put to me about dealing with passengers, i stumbled over a performance question but hopefully i made up for it in what was my last part of the day...

The sim.. this was great fun, a Beach 1900 sim, basic glass cockpit turbo prop. a straight forward departure followed by a few failures and a radar vectored single engine raw data ILS. this was well briefed before hand and the sim was a delight to fly with the help of a competent but not forth coming PNF!!

I really want the job though it will be a big pay drop for me atleast until i get back in the left hand seat.. i have to think of my first 6 months as an investment in the future... saying that, i wont hear for a few days yet, fingers crossed...

Hey Capt Crash

Just did the interview a few days ago. They called me back the day after I got home and made me a conditional offer, references feedback (de)pending. Thanks for your encouragements anyway.
Cheers

The best technical test for NJE would be to give the guys at the interview a stapler and one of our flight packages. GOOD LUCK with that! I can tell ya!

Hey all you guys/girls applying for those magnificant jobs at NJE and actuly ot the job....was just wondering, what qualifications did/do you have before you were hired by them.
I meet some pilots from NJE while flying around Europe and they said to me that with my 3500TT and 850 on MPA I have good time to apply...but I am still hesitating...shall I or shall I not.

What do you think...if it is not top secret thing...

ALCHPA.

In the nicest possible way and with no malice or sarcasm intended have you made use of the 'search' function on this and the interview forum? That will turn up a wealth of information.

When you've done that there are a few people in here who will gladly fill in any gaps. Bet there won't be many gaps though

26point2 (or anyone else who attended the NJE interview recently!)
A few questions if you don't mind!?
Was the tech-paper multiple choice or open answers? My interview date is getting closer, so I was just curious. From the replies posted on PPRuNe I am not to sure what it is...
How long did the simcheck last? From your post it doesn't sound like it was a long session, maybe 30-45m? Of course it depends on how well you do if it is going to be a short or long session! Did you practise in a sim beforehand, or did you use company material to brush up on your raw data ILS?
That's it! As with all interviews I am getting slightly nervous, just normal I guess... Am busy revising my ATPL-stuff, hopefully I can remember it all! Did you found out yet if you got the job?
Many thanx!

Hi Mike!
You are excused!
Thanx for the info, much appreciated! Good to know it's multiple guess, at least I have a chance of spotting the right answer...
OK, it's time to do some proper ILS-flying again! As soon as it is a nice day I opt for a visual at my homebase NCL, next time I have to force myself to stick with vectors! Guess it will be a change going from 73NG-PFD's to basic-T in the sim, but the basics are the same...
Many thanx, hope to see you on the line in the near future!

Hi SuperHornet,
a preferred and efficient method for the multiple guess is...to leave nothing to chance for a unique answer...

You're going to leave an NG to go to NJE? Be sure of what you are doing. Good luck.

Superhornet.

NJE have just proven that their methods and treatment of their crew has not risen above their usual very low standards.

Be aware that if you join them you will be a VERY disposable asset. Your contract will not be worth the paper it is written on no matter how long you are there. No loyalty, no decency, nothing.

Best stay where you are.
