There really wasn't much to it I'm afraid. All I told tinquilla was that the questions were not terribly difficult and that a brush up on technical subjects should cover it.

Aerodynamics, terminology and definitions. That sort of stuff. Bit of JAR Ops maybe.

Would you be so kind and forward me the information too please.
I would be most grateful to you if you could.
Even if it is not particularly difficult, any help is worth having.
Thanks in advance

THERE IS NOTHING ELSE!!! THE REPLY ABOVE IS THE REPLY I GAVE TINQUILLA!!!!
For the hard of thinking here it is again.
(clears throat, assumes dramatic Shakespearean pose) "The questions were not terribly difficult and a brush up on technical subjects should cover it. Aerodynamics, terminology and definitions. That sort of stuff. Bit of JAR Ops maybe."
Thank you. My name's Flintstone, I'll be here all week.
(Departs stage left muttering "I dunno, kids of today, be wanting me to wipe their backside next")

thanks for enlightening us all, you are so helpful! clearly not to be met on the way down. maybe your head is stuck so far up your own ass you forget how you got where you are. i wish i could meet you in a bar and remind you. this industry does not need self opinionated jerks like you coughing all over us, everybody starting out needs some help and guidance, to go in the right direction, obviously as far from you as possible!

Flying Man,
The esteemed Mr. Flintstone is giving you, voluntarily, all the info you need for the tech quiz. Stick your head in a book and do some preparation like everyone else. I was going to offer my 5 cents as well until your cranky little tantrum.

flyingman, I guess if you reread your post youŽll find out, that your reply was out of line to say the least...I think you owe flintstone an apology...

Better donŽt reply when just coming from the bar...

Flyingman.
I clearly recall how I got where I am. A process that tortuous is never to be forgotten. I had help but I also made my own way. In return I've given help where I can. The only aid I can give here is to say what I've said. I can't give any more than an overview of the questions because they change.
The point I was making, and everyone except you seems to have grasped, is that they are not terribly difficult and a light brush up of the areas described should see you right. If that's too much like hard work for you then your aviation career is going to be a short one.
As for seeing me in a bar and setting me straight...................oooh, internet threats .
I'm hoping to go to the Ash Bash Revisited on 20th May. Feel free to pitch up and enlighten me.

Question

Jeeeez m8, when you quoted Flintstone in your post did you happen to notice the little smileyface at the bottom of his post? Call me crazy but to me that suggests that he is simply trying to be excused from repeating himself... Again.... and trying to do so in a humoristic manner.
He is giving you the information he has and you get mad.. ?.. Hmm... havent seen that approach before..

Ahh yeah, btw, Flintstone, can you pm the questions to me?

Well, seriously m8, I just came from the interview and I can tell you that they are all very nice and professional people, Before I went I bought the flight operations and air law books from oxford and also ace the technical pilot interview book, they helped a lot. I think you should focus a little bit less on the specific questions in the quizz and try to get a broader information platform since they will throw in some JAR-OPS questions when you get to the panel.

You're a better man than me Bluey. I wouldn't offer the clown any info. And yes he owes Flintstone a major apology.

No apology yet from Flyingman, shame.

I think Flyingman is very brave saying the things he did to someone he doesn't know. Maybe one or two of the people who read this forum will interview him shortly. Would you want to employ someone who 'flies off the handle' so quickly? Just imagine Flyingman in Italy when the FBO gives you the wrong weather info and takes 2 hours to gt the fuel truck to you!

Go on Flyingman, say sorry so we can all play nicely.

CC

PS Flintstone can you let me know what the questions are too!

From what my darling boy has told me, if you get a phone screening you get an idea what's in the technical quizz any way.

Speaking of my children. One of them breezed in looking very smug. Something about rating 900 birds of prey and then leaving sunny Lisboa?
