This one was a lot faster than any old Fokker!! 'Tiz from the same stable as a recent challenge by the Bear which is why I stressed the urgency!! :)

Yes indeed! It is the Pander S-4 Postjager, a one off fast mailplane, built in 1933 for the service between the Netherlands and the Dutch East Indies, but unfortunately it was destroyed by fire in India during the 1934 MacRobertson Air Race when it collided with a car while taxiing for departure, the crew of two escaped without injury!

dook has control :ok:

Self loading bear 5th Oct 2019 17:35

And Pander was from origin a furniture factory!

Indeed it was, but how long did the original business of H.Pander & Zonen continue to make furniture? It still seems to be collected!

from wikipedia:
Pander factory went bust on the Postjager.
Pander family collaborated with the Germans in the war and made aircraft parts and repairs.
After the war they were part of a United furniture factory.
( I don’t know the trade names which were used)
That went bust as recently as 1985.

SincoTC 5th Oct 2019 18:36
