Yes Max TOW, the old Rongotai airfield I think 1950 ish, now Wellington Airport as you rightly say. The image stands out quite well on GE.

You have control thanks.

No longer there? Although there's a road running pretty much along the location of the main runway that has a clue in it's name?

dook 18th May 2019 16:47

There is virtually nothing left of it now.

I think the road is meaningless.

Ripton 18th May 2019 16:54

Bethpage Airfield, New York with Grumman Road running roughly where the runway used to be?

dook 18th May 2019 16:57

Excellent shooting. :D

Bethpage Grumman airfield.

Your service.

Ripton 18th May 2019 17:04

Currently living in Doha ;)

dook 18th May 2019 17:40

And if I'm not mistaken we spent a couple of days last new year with some friends who live in the village just off to the left in your photo. :)

They may well have purchased their Christmas tree from the place at the center of the photo.

A slightly wider shot for you, in case you are mistaken.

dook 18th May 2019 17:51

I have no idea where they got their Christmas tree my boy.

dook 18th May 2019 18:02

Several regulars on thread I see.

Anyone going to take it ?
