Bullseye. No scallops was going to be the next clue.

dook 21st May 2019 21:26

Doesn't look the same now though.

I’ve posted that one before.

dook 22nd May 2019 08:33

My apologies.

Would you like to take it or do you want another ?

Flap40 22nd May 2019 11:58

Leave it running if you wish. It was a few years ago so I’m sure it will be new to most others.

dook 22nd May 2019 11:59

OK - that's very noble of you.

JENKINS 22nd May 2019 14:15

That curve, Jersey?

dook 22nd May 2019 14:23

This challenge seems to be generating little interest.

The airfield is no more.

It opened in 1939 and closed in 1955. It spent a few months as a civilian aerodrome but for nearly all of its' time it was RAF.

I spend whole last evening searching Art Deco terminal buildings and old postcards but RAf stations are not listed there.

This is now a clue overload and basically a give away.

RAF Grangemouth

Looks military & is that part of a roundel on the top surface of the wing, bottom right in picture.

dook 24th May 2019 07:53

Looks like a roundel but I bet it's not RAF.

magruder1980 24th May 2019 08:51

I think it might be a Wirraway or similar which makes it CAAC at Port Melbourne

dook 24th May 2019 09:58

Note the river.
