Old Duxford? Drove past Old Serum ce matin.
Duxford is too far north J.
Hendon then?
Getting closer.
It's got aspects of Stonehenge but the wooded are doesn't quite fit.
Hmmm. |
Good morning gentlemen.
This airfield is south of Duxford and Hendon and east of Old Sarum and Stonehenge. edit: it is now an industrial site but the runway is still just visible on GE. |
RAF Andover,,..? OH if correct..
That would be my next guess; not too many arifelds I know of with Belfast Truss hangars.
Next thought was Woodley...
We still need to go east.
Big clue shortly. |
Lympne (Ashford).
Cows get the hit at last - Lympne.
Look closely and you'll see a control tower. Jack is some distance from his natural habitat.

Is it still active ?
Trying to decipher Jack. |
I would take Jack to refer to the Navy and the tower design does look Naval.
Now that you mention it, it does.
However, I don't think it's UK. |
No longer active but in a clutch of active airfields. The tower still has a use though. From another angle.

Are we in the UK after all and is the tower now a B&B or holiday let ?
The tower looks like the one at Fearn.
We are in the UK. This is clearly beyond the wit of man. :)
