Belay that - I think it's a Vickers Victoria - fuselage shape....................... or a Victoria Mk V = Valentia - some served with the Indian Air Force pre-war..................
|
Close on the aircraft Asters.
Phone call first thing this morning means I'm going to be unable to attend the Thread for today and tomorrow at least. So will re-post over the weekend. |
Does that mean you wish to back to OH ?
Surely we don't want a dead thread for two days at least. |

If I happen to have a challenge up when Auxtank returns I shall remove it and let him in.
I think that would be the fairest way of playing it. |
"UH-60 Blackhawk delivering aid" brings up the image.
Punta Arenas, Costa Rica. |
Afraid I got that image from another airfield - well the one shown with the mountains - which isn't in Costa Rica

How interesting.
My answer came from a military site Joint Task Force-Bravo. Beneath the photograph it says: A U.S. Navy sailor deployed to the U.S.N.S. Comfort guides in a UH-60 Blackhawk carrying medical equipment and supplies July 21, 2019, Punta Arenas, Costa Rica. Pilots and aircrew assigned to the 1st Battalion, 228th Aviation transported personnel and equipment to allow the U.S. Naval Ship Comfort to provide medical care to Costa Rican citizens and Venezuelan migrants as part of the United States enduring promise of helping its southern neighbors. The Winged Warriors transported more than 470 people and 20 tons of cargo from July 21 - 30. |
Something is clearly incorrect in one of the sites.
I have researched JTF-Bravo helicopters in South America and Soto Cano comes up quite a bit. So is that it ? |
Just back from wining and dining a US client...............
Yes its Base Aérea Cnel. Jose Enrique Soto Cano, Palmerola, Comayagua, Honduras Big US base and shortly to be the new regional airport Dook has control in the midnight hour...................... https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/pprune....6fc634d0be.jpg https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/pprune....ff3bc97adb.jpg https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/pprune....e26c6d4eed.jpg https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/pprune....d2b5566ce4.jpg |
