Yes, Long Newnton, WW2 training field. An enormous clue of that long straight hedge line. Such hedges useful in my 'chicken run' country as datum lines for aeros. I fear that the chicken runners have tended to disappear in line with the disappearance of a small striped rodent.

OH declared. The airfield apparently has a WW1 history too; post war it was used by a gliding club which moved to Aston Down and I'm sure I saw it listed in the RAC list of recognised kart circuits too. |
