Leconfield ? |
I'll take a guess at Lyneham. 216 Sqn were the only RAF operators of the 4 and were based at Lyneham.
|
216 disbanded on 30 June 1975.
Their aeroplanes were taken to Leconfield from Lyneham. This might be interesting...….. |
Has one of us won the prize ?

Canada? One of the EFTS sites possibly. Stab in the dark - Edmonton.

Are those palmtrees in front of the fairly steep cliff in the background? SLB |
It's not Canada and SLB has a good point.
However, I don't think they are palm trees but it's possible. |
Had to look that up.
Not Africa. |
Nah ,Jenks,that was `Twin Palm trees...`
|
Well, I still think it's a WW2 training field and if it's not Africa I have to guess at Oz. Another wild stab, Benalla?

Hyderabad, Begumpet aerodrome, India. The old terminal building, built in 1937, still stands today. Here is another view of Begumpet Airport:https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/pprune....3aa241c7a6.jpg

Good to see you on here evansb! This was a most enjoyable thread back in the days when you (and so many others) would post pix you had taken of aerodromes in passing.
Cheers |
