maybe Columbo?
|
Certainly look like Air Lanka L1011s... |
I've just Goggled Columbo and it's certainly changed.
|
kenparry is correct. I was looking for the other names of the airport, specifically Bandaranaike International Airport (Sinhalese: බණ්ඩාරනායක ජාත්*යන්තර ගුවන්තොටුපළ; Tamil: பண்டாரநாயக்க பன்னாட்டு வானுர்தி நிலையம்), colloquially known as Katunayake Airport and Colombo International Airport, (IATA: CMB, ICAO: VCBI) is the main international airport serving Sri Lanka.

evansb, Thanks. The array of Tristars in that livery were the clue. This one will probably go quite quickly (the challenge, I mean, not the subject of the photo) |
chevron - a poster has removed all of his posts. Very frustrating - especially when they have had challenge photos in them.

West Raynham ?
May we all know who has removed his posts. |
Go look at your challenge at the top of the previous page. The answer - to which you replied "That was quick"- is missing as it has been deleted. And the post after it that had the Leconfield challenge.
When I go back and update the list I will have no idea as to where it is :( |
I have not deleted any posts.
There is a post missing after my #9401. I'll go back through my PC deleted images and try to help you. |
dook is correct - I thought it would be quick.
Photo from 1966. the Spit was the centrepiece of 1(F)Sqn's museum, and had been on the sqn strength at Hutton Cranswick in 1945-46. It moved to Wittering, then Cottesmore, but where it went after the Harriers ended, I don't know. |
Thank you kp.
Apologies for the quality but I think this won't last long either: http://i65.tinypic.com/2yxoqx4.jpg |
@nvbu
The answer to my post #9401 is Ostende. |

I've found the missing challenge to give to nvubu.

Kai Tak...OH if correct. If it is I used to watch the aircraft from that roof in 1960!
|
Kai Tak it is and we're back to OH.
|
|
Looks like Doha.
OH if correct. |
Indeed, Doha International with a slither of Hamad on the left edge.
|
No takers for the OH ?
