RAF Wittering.
Interesting that a different article states a different date... On 8 July 1936, the first Royal Visit to RAF Wittering took place. This visit by King Edward VIII, accompanied by his brother the Duke of York and the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Sir Edward Ellington, was also historic in that His Majesty flew in his scarlet and blue Rapide aircraft from his private aerodrome in Windsor Great Park to Northolt and then on to Wittering to become Britain’s first flying King.
