A bit silent on the suggestion front.
This airfield came into being initially as a glider field (if I remember correctly) but is now used for freefall parachuting, gliders, light aircraft and anything else below 5.7t
It's best to drive on the right and the time is UCT+2.

Those German trees are a long way from home if the clock is set to UTC+2

One of the Baltic states?

They may well have been germanic trees at one time.
Here's a little visual clue from the beginnings of the gliding club. Picture taken about 2 miles from the present airfield.

Now if only that had been a pig, but then this thread would have flown to Jet Blast very quickly.

India Four Two

I believe that Germany is UTC +2?

Looking for the current time in Frankfurt, Germany?

handsfree

Could it be Poland? (at one stage part of the Imperial German Empire).

Could be Poland but it isn't. Link with Germany is from a later date than the Imperial times. Link with the Balkan states comes from this country's own Imperial past.
The cow, by the way, wasn't used to launch the glider that was done from the top of the hill using bungee and manpower.
The line NNW/SSE through the woods is a train line. North lies the capital.

My first thoughts were towards Hungary, perhaps Budakeszi though having looked on google maps that has a grass runway. Perhaps the tarmac is new?
