easyjet winter based aircraft
Level bust
I have tried to keep an eye on the easyjet winter schedule from Luton the last couple of years and I would say it is the same number of aircraft.
I sample checked one Monday in November and one Wednesday and there have been recent changes (of course) but I can't find my original notes.
Monday has 15 based aircraft by the look of it and from memory this is similar to previous years and around 40 based flights (more when ski flights start) with fairly good utilisation. Services from EDI, GLA and BFS are mainly operated from their bases so the total flights would be around 45-50.
Wednesday again is similar to last year but again only using my diminishing memory quite a reduction from a few years ago. Out of the 15 based only 5 or 6 move first thing and less than 25 based flights with Tuesday looking similar.
Some other aspects, which others might help with such as Glasgow just two a day in November on a Tuesday and Wednesday? Milan without a flight on a Tuesday and Wednesday and Paris also two a day on a Tuesday and Wednesday. These seem low compared to previous years.

Rumours that Air France and KLM in advanced talks to acquire Wizz.
All parties denying it at the moment though!http://www.ch-aviation.com/portal/ne...quire-wizz-air

From the Air France KLM website - Net debt stood at €5.35 billlion (€5.97 billion at December 31, 2012).
A failing duo of legacy carriers propped up by incredible debt and already have a 'low-cost' airline in Transavia!

Re EZY winter schedule
OP -
It often seems the case that, when schedules are first released, the LTN 'trunk' routes - EDI, GLA, AMS, etc are at low frequencies, but by the time the schedules operate, frequencies have increased, presumably in line with demand.

Newcastle was last tried by Debbonair. A friend who used the service had the 146 almost to himself.
As for Liverpool, I used that service a couple of times which had reasonable loads but the fares were a giveaway.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Munich go Daily or double Daily if the route proves popular from next summer.
More likely Easy will add rotations to Berlin , Edinburgh and Glasgow (given FR appearing on the route from STN), Amsterdam Milan and Belfast.
Summer routes to Heraklion or Paphos may see increases as well
As for new routes I wonder if they would consider Dubrovnik , Seville, Porto or reintroducing Vienna.

Capital Airlines
I recall Capital Airlines operating a successful domestic service between Leeds Bradford and Luton. In relation to the Liverpool service by Easyjet I was fortunate enough to have experienced the £10.00 each way fare!
Luton to Liverpool were operated when the London-Liverpool train line was slow and prone to delays. Billions have been spent upgrading the train line since.
London-Yorkshire also used to be lousy until the late 1980s when again a fortune was spent on the relevant train line.

I think there's zero chance of easyJet flying to Liverpool or Newcastle. They tried the Liverpool route once before but axed it, VLM did the same at London City. The train makes the route unviable these days. As for Newcastle, easyJet used to fly there from Stansted but no more. If you want domestic routes, how about Isle of Man or Jersey?

Agree that Newcastle and Liverpool are non-starters. In fact, don't think there is any chance of a new domestic route apart from Jersey. For Summer 15 I could see possibly:
Dubrovnik
Rhodes
Rome
Santorini
Bastia/Figari
Funchal

I think new route contenders for easyJet could include Dubrovnik & Calgiari (both possible transfers from Stansted?), Porto (as part of the new base being developed there), Isle of Man, Jersey & perhaps Rome (I know Monarch already fly there but I reckon the Italian capital could take more than their 3 weekly flights)
We might also expect to see some existing routes being increased - perhaps Edinburgh, Glasgow, Paris, Zurich, Tel Aviv?
When are the summer 2015 schedules announced?
