well an EZY 737 ate a bird today somewhere between STN and BFS... went into the no.2 engine, no damaged caused just needed cleaned up and inspected b4 being sent on to FAO

EI had an interesting morning, early morning LHR cancelled due to problems with the R.A.T, aircraft was then towed to 6F and a replacement aircraft (EI) came in from GLA to take out the BFS-CDG flight

EI full winter schedule should be released soon... quite a few "long turnarounds" and a route or 2 performed by a non-base aircraft i think.. shouldnt be long now until the EI website is updated

Surely 43 rotations = 128 pax per flight. Is 1 rotation not 1 in 1 out-I could well be wrong. 11000x365 = 4.015million per year, I suppose seems a bit high it would mean all other operators carrying only 1 million between them.

11000 - div by 43 = 255

Okay but how can you have an odd number of flights in total? A quick calculation would give a minimum of 30 arrivals and 30 departures per day therefore 60 rotations.

Not that I take the word of the Telegraph as gospel, but if there are inaccuracies I would be more inclined to point the finger at the Easyjet press folk, as some of the Irish papers are also carrying the same story with the same stats.

EastJet celebrates 25 million passengers out of Belfast | Irish Examiner

Could the accuracy of the figures be down to a rotation being two sectors, rather than one single flight as stated by gate22. 11,000 passengers per day, based on 43 rotations (so lets say 86 flights), would give an average load factor of about 128. Would that not be a fairly realistic load factor??

Seems a bit of a strange one. Would think that a Milan airport would cater for city break, business and leisure / lake traffic, with Brescia really only suitable for the later.

Flew into Brescia in January for skiing and appeared not to have great airport ground public transport links. It also seems that Brescia is currently not an Easyjet destination. Would have thought we'd get a tried and tested route initiated from one of the mainland UK airports.

If true handy for the lakes and Venice, will hit EI at Milan. Brescia is FR's Verona destination, I don't think EZY fly yet. It would be especially good if it was all year round. I know quite alot of people use Milan for Garda, this will make a big difference.

will hit EI at Milan
I think that EI is suspending the Milan route from the winter, and if only summer season (if it returns for 2010) should not be a big issue as summer is usually ok.

With reference to EZY Brescia, do you think it will be unique to Belfast within the EZY network (ie operated by a BFS aircraft)?, or are EZY opening a base at Brescia?, or would it be operated be another aircraft from another base on 'w' pattern?

once the BFS-GVA flight starts in December i dont think theres any available base aircraft to carry out the flight, so more than likely it'll be a W pattern
