well if easyJet are doing a TFS run, its certainly not direct from BFS trust me..

EZY736 is BFS-LGW...

if its a holiday company then no doubt it will be getting the 736 to LGW then getting another EZY flight from LGW-TFS, the flight time would also suggest its a 2-stop (get off at LGW and get another flight)

And of course aircraft that isn't based but makes an appearance every day :
Bmi Baby - B737-300 / 500
Manx 2 - LET-410
Continental - B757-200

Ref Manx2
Let-410 has become a rare visitor now
Manx2 seem to now prefer using Do228 on BFS route

would BHD have room for Jet2 ? i doubt it. all 10 stands are occupied each night / morning. they are always juggling and short of stands if there are delays. ive seen aircraft having to wait remote before they get a stand due to congestion. its hilarious !!

Oh and Thompson, I think that they all must be going down, even without the runway extension.

I see BRS-BHD is going up to twice daily (bar Saturday) from the start of July. Surpising considering the CAA figures for May weren't great.

i see the LHR-BFS flight (EI33) is still estimating 15:45, this has delayed the BFS-CDG flight to 16:15, which in turn will have delayed the BFS-FCO flight which now wont leave BFS until atleast 20:10... nearly 4 hours late, which means the FCO-BFS flight wont arrive until well after 03:00

its either going to be a late night for EI and Menzies staff, or passengers are going to be disappointed with cancellations... will be a tough choice for EI as no doubt the flights will all be 130+ PAX due to the time of year

if its EI-DEE thats operating the flights then it will be the 2nd major tech problem the aircraft has suffered in the last few days (if its a tech problem that is..), as the LHR-BFS-LHR turnaround at about 1700 was cancelled a few days ago

Press release from BFS about the opening of the new £500K airbridge.

Belfast International Airport :: News

The main user of the airbridge, US-based airline Continental Airlines, who fly daily to New York from Belfast International, welcomed the investment. "As the operator of Northern Ireland's only scheduled trans-atlantic service, we welcome the addition of this state-of-the-art airbridge," said Bob Schumacher, Continental Airlines' Senior Director U.K. & Ireland. "We know our customers will appreciate the convenience and shelter it offers during boarding and disembarkation."
Now without being too pedantic, and acknowledging the fact that CO operate year round, but aren't the FlyGlobespan flights to Hamilton and Orlando scheduled services??

i think CO funded a considerable amount of the airbride, hence why they got the mention in the article and GSM was side-lined

was just on the Menzies website and noticed this under the BFS info..

Aer Lingus
easyJet
Wizz Air - no flights for 2009
Dubrovnik Airlines - was on 2 scheduled flights this summer, both have now passed
Polar Air Cargo - is this a new contract? old information? diversion contract? have never noticed it before
the only thing Menzies does thats related to cargo at BFS is loading/unloading bins off EI flights which Servisair then picks up

Wouldn't read too much into the Menzies website considering they have Great Wall Airlines / Cargo B and MNG down as BHD operators. Will be some time before you see a 747/A300 in BHD.... runway extension or not!

Easyjet BFS will not be an all A320 base as those airframes are in high demand across the network for other hitherto unannounced projects. If there were to be a BFS - Canaries route it would have to be a 320 but this is nothing more than a locally based fantasy at present. There will be 1 airbus airframe in BFS by the year end , 5 by the end of March 10 and another to follow. What happens to the old NG's is anybody's guess. Maybe they'll be kept on to annoy EI and RYR
If Jet2 win the mail contract again (which may be in doubt due to stiff competition from abroad) they are very unlikely to have any interest in BHD.
BFS- SXF has reasonable loads but poor yield (much like PRG) hence its removal. It is unlikely to return.

I haven't yet saw the first early morning BD Verona flights listed on the boards for a Saturday morning. I flew on the 15.00 dep a couple of weeks ago and when I was booking it, there was a 06.00 dep returning around 14.00. Has this been cancelled.

"I haven't yet saw........"

For the love of God (and no doubt in some cases, B&Q, a wholesaler of saws), must we put up with the habitual ineptitude of some people on here whose posts are regularly rendered a load of bolleaux (that's sh@te for the easy-going folk) because their credibility is down the pan early doors due to basic grammar incompetence? (and therefore the suspicion must exist that the author has no idea what he/she is talking about?)

Or perhaps this forum should be Airlines, Airports, Routes, GCSE English, Fools and News.

I'm about done having to translate the "Queen's English" into something comprehensible.

Anyway, (and a castigation to me is probably deserved), back on topic: flew BFS to Berlin twice last year prior to route suspension, and it seemed to be doing ok to me (although I have no idea of yield)

Cuthere,

Norn Iron should be spelt 'Northern Ireland', and if you do not understand what was communicated, you are too intellectually superior.

Gate 22
Poor loads to start with have delayed the start-up of the earlier VRN flight on Saturday mornings.
Due to start this Saturday new time 0625L departure.
Inbound aircraft night-stops on Friday night.

Hope my grammar's ok?"!'*;:

With the start of the Corfu flights today, BD7817, does this signal the start of based bmi operations for BFS over the next number of weeks. Does the based aircraft operate into August?? A321??
